Angelina and Brad expecting? - Oct 30 2007
Angelina Jolie has apparently cancelled a talk in Italy - after rumours emerged that she and Brad Pitt are expecting another baby.
The Tomb Raider actress was expected to give a lecture at the UN-linked Pio Manzu Centre, near Rimini, about important global issues - but pulled out at the last minute due to "personal reasons", reports The Sun.
Italian newspaper reports said it was because she discovered she is pregnant with her second child by Brad - making her brood, including her adopted children, up to five.
Letizia Manjani, a spokeswoman for the centre, told the paper: "Angelina cancelled last week. Due to her privacy I can't confirm her pregnancy, but I can say that the Italian newspapers are correct in their reports."
The couple - who have biological daughter Shiloh, 18 months, and adopted kids Maddox, six, Zahara, two, and three-year-old Pax Thien - have recently spoken out about their desire to add to their family.
Brangelina to make aid work drama - Oct 23 2007
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are set to make their first joint producing effort with a drama series on the lives of aid workers, according to US reports.
The as-yet-untitled drama will explore the behind-the-scenes politics of an international aid organisation and chronicle the lives of humanitarian workers assigned to dangerous zones and the people in need who they assist, industry magazine The Hollywood Reporter said.
Angelina, 32, and Brad, 43, will be executive producers along with Scott Burns, who co-wrote The Bourne Ultimatum and also produced the Oscar-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth.
Since 2001, Angelina has been a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations’ refugee agency, travelling to "hot" zones to help people displaced by wars and natural disasters.
The couple, who have four children - Maddox, six, Pax, three, Zahara, two, and 16-month-old Shiloh - have also supported a number of international aid organisations through their Jolie-Pitt Foundation.
Doctors Without Borders and Global Action for Children each received a one million dollar (£500,000) donation through the foundation.
Brangelina attend Clinton conference - Sept 28 2007
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have joined world leaders and scholars aiming to tackle the world’s problems.
The third Clinton Global Initiative conference in New York is expected to raise billions to help tackle the issues of global warming, poverty, health and education.
More than 10 billion dollars (£5bn) was pledged in the first two conferences, and participants were expected to pledge more this year.
Brangelina joined Tony Blair, tennis star Andre Agassi and media mogul Rupert Murdoch on this year’s guest list.
As the three-day conference opened, former US President Bill Clinton and Florida Governor Charlie Crist announced plans for a new solar power plant as part of a 2.4 billion dollar (£1.2bn) clean energy programme in the Sunshine State.
"This is a huge deal for America and I think potentially a huge deal for people all around the world who want to do this," Mr Clinton said.
At a luncheon session, Brad announced that his Make It Right project was prepared to break ground by the end of the year on 150 affordable green homes in New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward, which was devastated by Hurricane Katrina.

Her family moved to LA when Angelina was eleven and she soon began working on her acting career, enrolling in the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute where ahe appeared in several productions. Despite her abilities Angelina was teased during her time at Beverley Hills High School - far from being beautiful and popular she was skinny, with glasses and braces and wore second hand clothes. At 14 she dropped out of theatre classes, harbouring dreams of becoming a funeral director, and began cutting herself. Angelina began a rebellious period of her life, moving out of home and in with her boyfriend.
At around the same time she was taken on by Finesse Model Management and took jobs in the US and Europe, she also appeared in several music videos for the likes of Meat Loaf and Lenny Kravitz. Then, at 16, she returned to acting and rekindled her relationship with her father. She appeared in several of her brother’s student films before, in 1993 she was offered a role in sci-fi flick Cyborg 2. Several equally poor productions followed before Angelina landed a role in Hackers, which was a cult hit and threw the actress in the direction of Jonny Lee Miller, whom she would soon marry.
Little known films such as Foxfire and Mojave Moon followed but it was the Golden Globe winning George Wallace that got Angelina noticed and Pushing Tin, which co-starred Billy Bob Thornton and The Bone Collector helped her on her way to global stardom. However it was her part as messed up teenager Lisa Rowe in Girl, Interrupted which won her her place on the Hollywood walk of fame. The role won her an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress as well as several other accolades.
Action movies Gone In 60 Seconds and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider followed and made sure Angelina was admired the world over by men and women alike. Meanwhile her personal life became just as fascinating than her on screen performances. Having divorced Jonny Lee Miller she married Pushing Tin costar Billy Bob Thornton, famously they wore vials of blood around their neck, however in 2003 they also divorced despite having adopted a Cambodian orphan, Maddox. At the same time she admitted she had had a relationship with a female costar on the set of Foxfire. Meanwhile she continued with her now much publicised humanitarian work, as a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN and her film career, appearing in Alexander and Taking Lies among others.
In 2005 Angelina took a leading role in Mr & Mrs Smith, opposite Brad Pitt. Although the movie itself was widely panned the burgeoning relationship between Angelina and Brad, who was at the time in the process of splitting from Jennifer Aniston, made sure it was a hit. The relationship was also a success, in January 2006 Angelina announced that she was pregnant, just months after adopting second child, Ethiopian Zahara, she gave birth to Shiloh Jolie-Pitt.
Angelina has confirmed that she is working on a screen adaptation of Beowulf, A Mighty Heart and Atlas Shrugged.
