Angie shows off new son to the world - Mar 22 2007
Actress Angelina Jolie introduced newly-adopted son Pax Thien to the world in a magazine photoshoot.
The three-year-old Vietnamese boy is pictured in Hello! magazine with his new siblings.
He is seen playing by a swimming pool with sister Zahara, two, and snuggled up in bed with five-year-old brother Maddox.
Angelina left Vietnam with Pax Thien today on a private Gulfstream jet bound for the US after the little boy was granted a visa.
There he will be introduced to Angie’s partner Brad Pitt and baby Shiloh.
The Tomb Raider star told Hello!: "He is a very serious, very sweet little boy.
"We are slowly beginning to build his trust and bond but it will feel complete only when we are all a family.
"You can imagine what courage it takes to be in all new surroundings with new people and a new language. He is very strong.
"It will take him a while to realise he has a family; that his new life is permanent and it won’t keep changing."
Angie has given Pax Thien a Gameboy as one of his first presents.
"He has never had anything to call his own," she explained.
The photographs were taken at the Hyatt Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, where the star stayed while the adoption process was completed.
Pax Thien had been living at the Tam Binh orphanage on the outskirts of the city since he was abandoned as in infant.
Angelina leaves Vietnam with new son - Mar 21 2007
Angelina Jolie and her newly-adopted three-year-old son have left Vietnam in a private jet en route to the boy’s new home in the United States.
The superstar adopted Pax Thien Jolie in Ho Chi Minh City last week, before travelling to the capital, Hanoi, to pick up a visa allowing him to enter the United States.
The actress left a pack of disappointed paparazzi in her wake, fleeing from them before boarding the awaiting Gulfstream jet at Noi Bai Airport.
During her week in Vietnam, Angelina spent her time cooped up in luxury hotels, shielding Pax from the photographers that trailed them everywhere.
On the few occasions they came out to do adoption paperwork, they travelled in cars with darkened windows and only emerged after parking in basement garages that were sealed off from the media horde.
The star and Brad made a surprise trip to the country last November, when they visited the Tam Binh orphanage on the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City. Pax had been living at the orphanage since he was abandoned as an infant.
Angelina filed adoption papers as a single parent because she and Brad aren’t married.
They have three other children: five-year-old Maddox, adopted from Cambodia, two-year-old Zahara, adopted from Ethiopia, and another daughter, Shiloh, born to the couple last year.

Her family moved to LA when Angelina was eleven and she soon began working on her acting career, enrolling in the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute where ahe appeared in several productions. Despite her abilities Angelina was teased during her time at Beverley Hills High School - far from being beautiful and popular she was skinny, with glasses and braces and wore second hand clothes. At 14 she dropped out of theatre classes, harbouring dreams of becoming a funeral director, and began cutting herself. Angelina began a rebellious period of her life, moving out of home and in with her boyfriend.
At around the same time she was taken on by Finesse Model Management and took jobs in the US and Europe, she also appeared in several music videos for the likes of Meat Loaf and Lenny Kravitz. Then, at 16, she returned to acting and rekindled her relationship with her father. She appeared in several of her brother’s student films before, in 1993 she was offered a role in sci-fi flick Cyborg 2. Several equally poor productions followed before Angelina landed a role in Hackers, which was a cult hit and threw the actress in the direction of Jonny Lee Miller, whom she would soon marry.
Little known films such as Foxfire and Mojave Moon followed but it was the Golden Globe winning George Wallace that got Angelina noticed and Pushing Tin, which co-starred Billy Bob Thornton and The Bone Collector helped her on her way to global stardom. However it was her part as messed up teenager Lisa Rowe in Girl, Interrupted which won her her place on the Hollywood walk of fame. The role won her an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress as well as several other accolades.
Action movies Gone In 60 Seconds and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider followed and made sure Angelina was admired the world over by men and women alike. Meanwhile her personal life became just as fascinating than her on screen performances. Having divorced Jonny Lee Miller she married Pushing Tin costar Billy Bob Thornton, famously they wore vials of blood around their neck, however in 2003 they also divorced despite having adopted a Cambodian orphan, Maddox. At the same time she admitted she had had a relationship with a female costar on the set of Foxfire. Meanwhile she continued with her now much publicised humanitarian work, as a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN and her film career, appearing in Alexander and Taking Lies among others.
In 2005 Angelina took a leading role in Mr & Mrs Smith, opposite Brad Pitt. Although the movie itself was widely panned the burgeoning relationship between Angelina and Brad, who was at the time in the process of splitting from Jennifer Aniston, made sure it was a hit. The relationship was also a success, in January 2006 Angelina announced that she was pregnant, just months after adopting second child, Ethiopian Zahara, she gave birth to Shiloh Jolie-Pitt.
Angelina has confirmed that she is working on a screen adaptation of Beowulf, A Mighty Heart and Atlas Shrugged.
