Angelina and Jen share a record - Sept 27 2007
Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston have more than Brad Pitt in common - they have scooped the joint title for Most Powerful Actress by the Guinness World Records.
Researchers for the 2008 edition of the book assessed the earnings and publicity surrounding several Hollywood stars during the last year to come up with the ranking.
Angelina, 32, is currently earning rave reviews and talk of an Oscar nomination for her leading role in A Mighty Heart, the tale of kidnapped and murdered US journalist Daniel Pearl.
Her ever-growing family and relationship with Jennifer’s ex-husband Brad, 43, has generated headlines around the world.
Jen’s rocky love life - falling for her co-star in The Break Up, Vince Vaughn, and a rumoured romance with Essex brickie turned model Paul Sculfor - has kept the 38-year-old in the public eye.
This year’s Guinness World Records book also sees Tom Cruise regain his crown as Most Powerful Actor, pushing Johnny Depp off the top spot.
Tom took the title thanks to his earnings from War Of The Worlds and the coverage of his marriage to Katie Holmes and the birth of their daughter Suri.
Samuel L Jackson is named the Highest Grossing Actor at the box office with 75 films taking more than £3.95 billion worldwide.
British Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson take the Highest Average Box-Office Gross Per Movie with £143.5 million each.
Brangelina to adopt again? - Sept 25 2007
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are reportedly planning to adopt a child from Burma.
The superstar couple - who already have three adopted children, Maddox, six, Pax, three, and two-year-old Zahara - hope to take in another little girl, says the Daily Star.
And they have reportedly decided Burma is the perfect place to find their new addition.
Angelina, who has previously spoken of her wish to have a "rainbow family", has apparently asked a Burmese monk to accompany her to one of the country’s orphanages.
Meanwhile, the 32-year-old - who also has a biological daughter, Shiloh, with Brad - is said to be hoping to expand her role as a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN by working in more troubled parts of the world.
A source told the Star: "She wants to step up her action in what she calls ’red alert’ areas, the most seriously troubled, war-torn areas."
Angelina: I can eat what I want - Sept 14 2007
Angelina Jolie has apparently revealed that she eats a fry-up every day.
The slender actress claimed that she munches tasty eggs, bacon and sausages for breakfast every morning, reports The Sun.
The A Mighty Heart star - who has four kids - apparently said in an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine: "I’ve never been a fitness fanatic. I’m pretty lucky, I can eat what I want."
But Oscar winner Angie, 32, did say that she restricts her diet in some respects, reportedly admitting: "I steer clear of carbs."
Angelina and her partner Brad Pitt, 43, are currently enjoying Canada after jetting over there for the Toronto Film Festival.

Her family moved to LA when Angelina was eleven and she soon began working on her acting career, enrolling in the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute where ahe appeared in several productions. Despite her abilities Angelina was teased during her time at Beverley Hills High School - far from being beautiful and popular she was skinny, with glasses and braces and wore second hand clothes. At 14 she dropped out of theatre classes, harbouring dreams of becoming a funeral director, and began cutting herself. Angelina began a rebellious period of her life, moving out of home and in with her boyfriend.
At around the same time she was taken on by Finesse Model Management and took jobs in the US and Europe, she also appeared in several music videos for the likes of Meat Loaf and Lenny Kravitz. Then, at 16, she returned to acting and rekindled her relationship with her father. She appeared in several of her brother’s student films before, in 1993 she was offered a role in sci-fi flick Cyborg 2. Several equally poor productions followed before Angelina landed a role in Hackers, which was a cult hit and threw the actress in the direction of Jonny Lee Miller, whom she would soon marry.
Little known films such as Foxfire and Mojave Moon followed but it was the Golden Globe winning George Wallace that got Angelina noticed and Pushing Tin, which co-starred Billy Bob Thornton and The Bone Collector helped her on her way to global stardom. However it was her part as messed up teenager Lisa Rowe in Girl, Interrupted which won her her place on the Hollywood walk of fame. The role won her an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress as well as several other accolades.
Action movies Gone In 60 Seconds and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider followed and made sure Angelina was admired the world over by men and women alike. Meanwhile her personal life became just as fascinating than her on screen performances. Having divorced Jonny Lee Miller she married Pushing Tin costar Billy Bob Thornton, famously they wore vials of blood around their neck, however in 2003 they also divorced despite having adopted a Cambodian orphan, Maddox. At the same time she admitted she had had a relationship with a female costar on the set of Foxfire. Meanwhile she continued with her now much publicised humanitarian work, as a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN and her film career, appearing in Alexander and Taking Lies among others.
In 2005 Angelina took a leading role in Mr & Mrs Smith, opposite Brad Pitt. Although the movie itself was widely panned the burgeoning relationship between Angelina and Brad, who was at the time in the process of splitting from Jennifer Aniston, made sure it was a hit. The relationship was also a success, in January 2006 Angelina announced that she was pregnant, just months after adopting second child, Ethiopian Zahara, she gave birth to Shiloh Jolie-Pitt.
Angelina has confirmed that she is working on a screen adaptation of Beowulf, A Mighty Heart and Atlas Shrugged.
