Imogen tells BB wannabes to 'milk it' - April 17 2007
Former Big Brother housemate Imogen Thomas has advised this year's crop of contestants to milk the experience for all it's worth.
The brunette says people applying for Big Brother 2007 shouldn't expect their lives to change after being on the show - but said they should get what they can out of it.
"If you go on a reality show you don't come out thinking 'I'll be the next Davina McCall', you know, it doesn't happen like that," the former Miss Wales said.
The 23-year-old said she always intended to make as much from the experience as possible.
"I just thought 'I'm going to milk it when I can and get on with things', and that's exactly what I've done," she said.
Imogen has used her appearance on Big Brother to help her modelling career and has a television show on Welsh TV with fellow housemate Glyn Wise.
She added: "Don't go in there thinking your life is going to be absolutely amazing when you come out and you're going to be the next big thing.
"Because it's a reality show at the end of the day."
BB’s Imogen gets soap role - Sept 11, 2020
Big Brother’s Imogen Thomas will make her acting debut in a Welsh-language soap opera. The 23 year-old former Miss Wales said she was delighted to be asked to take part in the long-running BBC Wales drama series Pobol y Cwm, which is broadcast on S4C and set near her home town of Llanelli, South Wales.
"I’d love to get into acting - presenting and TV work is something I want to do and it’s great to be asked to appear on Pobol y Cwm," she said. "My family watch it and I used to watch it when I was living at home."
Imogen will play herself in the soap. She will appear as a VIP guest at the opening of a new garage run by entrepreneur Ronald Steadman (Wayne Cater) and his trophy wife Lucy (Heledd Baskerville).
"I felt a bit nervous especially as there were so many people around, but the producers and other actors made me feel at home and talked me through the process and I’m really excited about it. "I’ve got some lines to say and they’ve even included the ’Hot Topic’ and a few ’babes’ as part of the script!"
Imogen can be seen on Pobol y Cwm on October 6, on S4C.
Is Imogen the new Sarah Beeny? - Aug 31, 2020
Big Brother Welsh beauty Imogen Thomas has apparently revealed that she wants to become TV’s new property presenter. The 23-year-old reckons she would be perfect on a house makeover show.
She told The Daily Star: "A renovation show would be my dream. I’d love to be the next Sarah Beeny." The former Miss Wales first mentioned her ambition to other BB contestants whilst in the Elstree house. She added: "Sarah has the perfect job as far as I’m concerned. I love her shows. "I also like holidays and travelling abroad, so a show about foreign property would be brilliant."
Since Imogen left the house on Day 86 with 62% of the public vote, she has been living the high life. She told a local paper: "Life is a whizz of engagements and is out of my control. But I am used to that because of the Miss Wales experience. I thrive on it."
