Britney Spears
- Profession: Singer
- Place/Date of Birth: McComb, Mississippi, United States, 02 December 2020
Snapped in a pair of ripped fishnets, she’s been continuing to work on her performance at the Millennium Dance complex, and while her reps have declined to confirm any further performances, she doesn’t appear to be slowing down.
Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin, who saw her rehearsing last week told People magazine: "She’s been working really hard. She choreographed all of those shows herself. She’s such a talented girl."
Britney back on stage - May 2 2007
Britney Spears took to the stage in California yesterday, in what is believed to be her first public concert appearance in nearly three years.
Starting the five-song set at San Diego’s House of Blues with her classic Baby One More Time, Britney was back in top form. The boots-wearing one-time teen pop queen appeared on stage in a pink bra top and a short white skirt with her belly ring out.
The drama of the past few months appeared to be behind her.
Her only spoken words came as she was leaving. "Thanks everyone for coming," she told the packed club.
Earlier this year, the 25-year-old successfully completed a stint at a luxury Malibu drug rehab centre after a bout of headline-generating behaviour that included a February stop at a San Fernando Valley hair salon to shave her own head in front of television news cameras.
Yesterday Britney wore a long brown wig.
The Toxic singer filed for divorce in November from aspiring rapper Kevin Federline, just two months after giving birth to their second child, Jayden James. The pair also have an older son, Sean Preston, now 20 months.
The two reached a divorce settlement in March.
Her last concert tour ended in summer 2004. Earlier this year, Britney told fans of her plans for a hot career comeback.
"I look forward to coming back this year bigger and better than ever," she wrote in a January posting on her website, also noting she’s "been far from perfect".
Britney set to write sizzling book - April 27 2007
Britney Spears certainly has a few stories to tell given her recent behaviour, and it seems the singer could be set to write a sizzling autobiography.
The tell-all book will apparently spill the beans on what life was like for the singer when she was dating Justin Timberlake, according to America’s Star magazine, as well as dishing the dirt on her marriage to Kevin Federline.
A source told the magazine: "Britney blames most of her problems with drugs and alcohol on the heartache she experienced years before, during her time with Justin - she couldn’t trust him."
The book could prove juicy reading when finished. The source added: "She believes he constantly lied to her about other girls and that destroyed her self-esteem."
So if you’ve upset Britney over the years, watch out - it seems the singer will be exorcising all of her demons by naming and shaming those who’ve got on her bad side.
Britney’s wacky message - April 17 2007
Britney Spears vented her annoyance with the media rumour-mill by inviting a paparazzi videographer to record a seemingly earnest message for her fans and a sarcastic tirade apparently aimed at everyone else.
After inviting a videographer for the agency X17 to tape her as long as he didn’t ask her any questions, Britney, wearing a white fedora, shades and a blonde wig, started off by brightly telling fans: "I just wanna say hey to all my fans and I can’t wait for all of my stuff to come out - I’m really, really excited."

During the early years of her career Britney made millions thanks to merchandising deals and successful hits. But she faced controversy throughout with rumours of plastic surgery and feuds with other stars. Her third album, which saw her take a sexier and more adult turn, was a relative disappointment while her critically panned but box office friendly debut movie Crossroads was a fleeting highlight. Meanwhile her long relationship with Justin Timberlake came to an end in 2002 amid claims that her reputation as a virgin was false and in fact that she had cheated on the N*Sync star?Britney responded by sharing a kiss with idol Madonna on stage at the MTV Awards ? an act which saw the pair criticized more than admired.
The kiss signaled the end of Britney?s pop-childhood and with the release of In The Zone and the hit single Toxic she began building a new fanbase. A drunken Las Vegas wedding to childhood friend Jason Alexander ended in annulment after just fifty five hours but, rather than concentrate on her career, Britney continued leaning on the lovelife self destruct button. She, despite advice to the contrary, married dancer, aspiring rapper and all round rat-faced bad boy Kevin Federline in a trailer trash wedding in 2004 and within months announced she was pregnant.
Having given birth to son, Sean Preston, Britney seems to have put her career on hold despite the success of a greatest hits album and the launch of her fragrance, Curious. Meanwhile rumours persist about the state of her marriage to Federline with the press accusing him of taking no interest in his wife and son and of cheating on the singing star.
