He has a comparably modest monthly budget for clothes - just £1,000. He also spends about £2,500 on entertainment, gifts and holidays, and £750 eating out.
Federline earned more than £250,000 in 2006, mainly from entertainment and endorsement deals, but after business expenses only grossed £3,718 that year.
The documents also show Britney had to temporarily surrender custody of her sons to Federline because she defied a court order.
In a September 28 order, Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon banned the divorced couple from driving their children unless they were properly insured and had a valid driving licence. The pop star disobeyed the order when she was photographed driving her sons a few days after the order.
I’m doing my best - Britney Spears - Nov 1 2007
Britney Spears was ready to speak about her new album and her life as a mum.
The troubled singer, who is going through a bitter custody battle for their two children with her ex-husband Kevin Federline admitted that she tries not to let all the negative publicity bother her.
She told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show: "People say what they want and do what they do. It’s sad how cruel our world can be. At the end of the day, you just have to know in your heart that you’re doing the best you can.
"I try not to let it get to me. People talk and they say what they want at the end of the day and the tabloids and the magazines. You just try to do what you do and as long as you know what’s up and you know what’s true, that’s all that really matters," Britney added.
And when the presenter asked if she was doing her best with her sons, the 25-year-old replied: "Oh God yeah."
Britney was on air to promote Blackout, her new album which came out on Tuesday, but revealed the celebration was low-key.
"It was kinda laid back, really. We watched movies, that’s about it," she said.
Britney granted visits with her boys - Oct 31 2007
Britney Spears can have sleepovers with her two boys -- if she has regular drug and alcohol tests, childproofs her home and buckles the children in car seats, a court commissioner ruled.
The pop star, who is seeking to regain the shared custody she lost earlier this month, must also continue meeting a court-appointed parenting coach, Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon said.
Calls to lawyers representing Britney and her ex-husband Kevin Federline were not immediately returned.
The nine-page ruling said the 25-year-old singer could have overnight visits with her children -- something she had been seeking. She will get two visits a week from noon to 7pm and one from noon to 10am the next day. All the visits will be monitored.
The order also cited some details of an October 19 report submitted by parenting coach Lisa Hacker about her observations of Britney with Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one.
The report makes it clear that Hacker feels the star "loves her children and the children are bonded" to her, the ruling states.
However, Hacker was concerned that Britney did not seem to have "child-centred" interactions, according to the ruling.
During all three of her visits, Britney "rarely engaged with the children in either conversation or play", Hacker said in her report.

During the early years of her career Britney made millions thanks to merchandising deals and successful hits. But she faced controversy throughout with rumours of plastic surgery and feuds with other stars. Her third album, which saw her take a sexier and more adult turn, was a relative disappointment while her critically panned but box office friendly debut movie Crossroads was a fleeting highlight. Meanwhile her long relationship with Justin Timberlake came to an end in 2002 amid claims that her reputation as a virgin was false and in fact that she had cheated on the N*Sync star?Britney responded by sharing a kiss with idol Madonna on stage at the MTV Awards ? an act which saw the pair criticized more than admired.
The kiss signaled the end of Britney?s pop-childhood and with the release of In The Zone and the hit single Toxic she began building a new fanbase. A drunken Las Vegas wedding to childhood friend Jason Alexander ended in annulment after just fifty five hours but, rather than concentrate on her career, Britney continued leaning on the lovelife self destruct button. She, despite advice to the contrary, married dancer, aspiring rapper and all round rat-faced bad boy Kevin Federline in a trailer trash wedding in 2004 and within months announced she was pregnant.
Having given birth to son, Sean Preston, Britney seems to have put her career on hold despite the success of a greatest hits album and the launch of her fragrance, Curious. Meanwhile rumours persist about the state of her marriage to Federline with the press accusing him of taking no interest in his wife and son and of cheating on the singing star.
