UK court bans Britney rehab leaks - Mar 23 2007
Lawyers for Britney Spears today obtained an emergency injunction in the High Court in London over leaked information about her time in rehab.
The legal move was announced by leading media solicitors, Schillings.
An order was granted by Mr Justice Gray aimed at preventing "further disclosures invading her privacy".
In a statement, Schillings said: "We can confirm that an emergency injunction was obtained in London’s High Court this afternoon as ordered by Mr Justice Gray on behalf of Britney Spears to restrain the person or persons, known as ’John Doe’, who has/have been leaking information about Ms Spears’ time in a rehabilitation clinic from further disclosures invading her privacy.
"This injunction will now be served on the UK media so as to assist them in not making the mistake of carrying such further disclosures if approached by this person or his/her agent.
"Ms Spears reserves the right and intends to challenge false allegations which have already been published about her time in rehabilitation and which are the subject of ongoing legal complaint."
They added: "Applications are pending in London’s High Court to seek an order requiring certain UK media organisations to disclose their respective sources so that John Doe can be identified and action can be taken against him/her."
Britney Spears ’set to leave rehab’ - Mar 21 2007
Britney Spears is set to leave rehab this week after an "amazing turnaround", according to a US report.
The troubled pop princess checked into the luxurious Promise centre in Malibu a month ago after shocking fans by shaving her head.
Sources told entertainment news website TMZ.com she and estranged husband Kevin Federline are now getting on well and are hammering out an amicable custody agreement over their two young sons.
One-year-old Sean Preston, and Jayden James, six months, have reportedly been at Kevin’s house since their mother sought treatment for her problems.
Spears’ mother Lynne and sister Jamie Lynn are said to have been helping out.
The singer and wannabe rapper Federline both sought custody after she filed for divorce in November.
Britney’s fans called on for support - Mar 19 2007
Britney’s fans have had a call to action from the singer’s official website to send "thoughts and inspiration" to their troubled idol - and the messages are pouring in.
Proving that the former singer has retained her most loyal supporters, samples of the supportive messages are being posted on BritneySpears.com
"Relax and don’t rush yourself, we are here for as long as it takes for you to get better," wrote one British fan, signed Laura, from Kent, while others from as far afield as New Zealand and Spain posted messages including "Stand strong" and "We miss you Britney".
But, in a bid to avoid any negative comments appearing on the site - and possibly being read by the fragile pop princess - a confirmation disclaimer says that the website’s "team" will "review your message and consider it for posting" and "reserve the right to edit your comments."

During the early years of her career Britney made millions thanks to merchandising deals and successful hits. But she faced controversy throughout with rumours of plastic surgery and feuds with other stars. Her third album, which saw her take a sexier and more adult turn, was a relative disappointment while her critically panned but box office friendly debut movie Crossroads was a fleeting highlight. Meanwhile her long relationship with Justin Timberlake came to an end in 2002 amid claims that her reputation as a virgin was false and in fact that she had cheated on the N*Sync star?Britney responded by sharing a kiss with idol Madonna on stage at the MTV Awards ? an act which saw the pair criticized more than admired.
The kiss signaled the end of Britney?s pop-childhood and with the release of In The Zone and the hit single Toxic she began building a new fanbase. A drunken Las Vegas wedding to childhood friend Jason Alexander ended in annulment after just fifty five hours but, rather than concentrate on her career, Britney continued leaning on the lovelife self destruct button. She, despite advice to the contrary, married dancer, aspiring rapper and all round rat-faced bad boy Kevin Federline in a trailer trash wedding in 2004 and within months announced she was pregnant.
Having given birth to son, Sean Preston, Britney seems to have put her career on hold despite the success of a greatest hits album and the launch of her fragrance, Curious. Meanwhile rumours persist about the state of her marriage to Federline with the press accusing him of taking no interest in his wife and son and of cheating on the singing star.
