Britney runs over photographer’s foot - Oct 19 2007
Pop star Britney Spears ran over a photographer’s foot in her car hours after losing visitation rights to her children, it was reported.
Britney was driving out of a Beverly Hills medical building car park yesterday (Thursday) afternoon when the incident happened, according to celebrity website Hollywood.TV.
Police in Beverly Hills said complaint had been filed.
Video on the website shows elements of the incident, though not the tyre actually rolling over the cameraman’s foot.
It shows Brit beginning to pull out of the car park when her car is surrounded by more than a dozen celebrity photographers. The car comes to a stop.
The star honks and the car lurches forward a few feet -- when the photographer is apparently hit.
Shouting is heard, and the camera jerks around as fellow photographers apparently help a man up.
Britney drives off. Seconds later, video shows what appears to be a tyre mark on the unidentified paparazzo’s sock. The man, wearing sandals with white socks, doesn’t respond to questions from the cameraman but instead walks off without any apparent problems.
Earlier yesterday, Britney learned she cannot even visit her young sons, who are in the custody of ex-husband Kevin Federline, until she complies with a court order.
Court suspends Brit’s visitation rights - Oct 18 2007
Troubled pop star Britney Spears cannot visit her two young children until she complies with a court order, a US court commissioner has ruled.
"Petitioner’s (Spears’) visitation with the minor children is suspended pending the petitioner’s compliance with the court orders," Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon wrote in an order which was dated yesterday (Wednesday).
The ruling in Los Angeles followed an emergency hearing, the latest in a custody battle between Britney and her ex-husband, wannabe rap star Kevin Federline.
The order did not spell out what directives the US star failed to comply with. A hearing was scheduled for October 26.
The pop princess is battling her former hubby for custody of their two young sons, two-year-old Sean Preston and one-year-old Jayden James.
A message left with Britney’s lawyer, Anne Kiley, was not immediately returned.
Britney turns herself in - Oct 17 2007
Britney Spears has reported to a Los Angeles police station to face charges of hit and run and driving without a valid licence, US police said.
Officer Mike Lopez said the troubled pop star was fingerprinted and photographed before leaving about 45 minutes after turning herself in.
"She was fine, co-operative," Mr Lopez said. "She did her business and came out."
Britney, 25, was wearing large designer sunglasses and a black turtleneck dress and jacket. As she left the station, she told KCAL-TV that all went smoothly.
"They were nice," she said of the police. She told the station she was wearing the sunglasses because she had pinkeye.
The charges stem from an incident on August 6 during which paparazzi filmed the Toxic singer steering her car into another vehicle as she tried to turn into a space in a Studio City car park. The video showed her walking away after assessing the damage to her own car.
The owner of the other vehicle, Kim Robard-Rifkin, filed a police report three days later.
Britney had been ordered to report for booking before an October 25 court appearance.

During the early years of her career Britney made millions thanks to merchandising deals and successful hits. But she faced controversy throughout with rumours of plastic surgery and feuds with other stars. Her third album, which saw her take a sexier and more adult turn, was a relative disappointment while her critically panned but box office friendly debut movie Crossroads was a fleeting highlight. Meanwhile her long relationship with Justin Timberlake came to an end in 2002 amid claims that her reputation as a virgin was false and in fact that she had cheated on the N*Sync star?Britney responded by sharing a kiss with idol Madonna on stage at the MTV Awards ? an act which saw the pair criticized more than admired.
The kiss signaled the end of Britney?s pop-childhood and with the release of In The Zone and the hit single Toxic she began building a new fanbase. A drunken Las Vegas wedding to childhood friend Jason Alexander ended in annulment after just fifty five hours but, rather than concentrate on her career, Britney continued leaning on the lovelife self destruct button. She, despite advice to the contrary, married dancer, aspiring rapper and all round rat-faced bad boy Kevin Federline in a trailer trash wedding in 2004 and within months announced she was pregnant.
Having given birth to son, Sean Preston, Britney seems to have put her career on hold despite the success of a greatest hits album and the launch of her fragrance, Curious. Meanwhile rumours persist about the state of her marriage to Federline with the press accusing him of taking no interest in his wife and son and of cheating on the singing star.
