Charlotte Church has admitted it was silly to write her autobiography when she was just 13.
Three years on, she’s a lot older and wiser and says, "I might do a trilogy - one at 30 and one at 45, if I’m still going."
The Youngest Lecturer - 07/02/03
She may be the youngest person to address the Oxford Union but Cardiff gal Charlotte Church will have a lot to talk about when she appears there next month. How many other sixteen year olds have sung for Bill Clinton, Nelson Mandela and the Pope? Or travelled the world? Or have earned a fortune? Or been gifted with that amazing voice?
A spokesman for the Union has said, "She has experienced a lot for her age and will have much to say." I bet she won’t be mentioning her ’wild’ smoking ways and living with her DJ boyfriend though.
CMC’s new dance hit - 27/01/03
A change of direction is probably just what Charlotte Church needed, the Welsh song-stress has entered the singles chart at number three with a dance track collaboration.
Its name - ’The Opera Song (Brave New World)’ - gives a hint of the old and the new Charlotte Church. The teenager sings on the track with Jurgen Vries.
Not only does she have a new direction and image but she also has a new name, CMC - standing for Charlotte Maria Church.
In a recent interview with Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles, Charlotte said: "Opera is beautiful and I used to like it a lot but now my taste has changed. I’ve got into other music."

It seems Charlotte Church’s days as a teen rebel are over as news breaks that she’s given up smoking. And what made her do it? Criticism from the media perhaps?
No: her mum. "I was forced to give up after a fantastic beating from my mum," she confesses. Ouch.
Charlotte Church snubs charity - 14/01/03
Charlotte Church has pulled out of a charity event in her hometown of Cardiff to appear on a lunchtime television chat show.
The teenager was due to unveil the winning design for the new Children’s Hospital for Wales at a presentation in Cardiff. She is patron of the Noah’s Ark Appeal to raise cash to build the hospital.
However, the singer cancelled at the last minute to go to London to appear on the ITV1 lunchtime show Today With Des And Mel instead.
Chairman of the Trustees of the Noah’s Ark Appeal Lyn Jones said: "She did try up to the last minute to be here but she has to do these things. "It’s a bit of a disappointment but she has been a great supporter."
Suzanne Mainwaring, the director of the appeal, also sang Ms Church’s praises as a devoted supporter of the project: "It’s a real shame she can’t be here but we understand that she’s a world class star with huge commitments."
ITV1 has confirmed the star will be singing on the live show today, although she will not be interviewed.

Five years later and Charlotte was making a name for herself at local karaoke competitions, and then...
"I was watching the Richard and Judy show on TV and they said they were looking for talented kids. No-one was around so I phoned up," she says. "The producers said I had to sing down the phone. So I did ’Pie Jesu’ and that was it, I was invited on the show. Mum and Dad were the last to find out!"
This led to even more television performances, as well as high profile concerts at the London Palladium, the Royal Albert Hall and Cardiff Arms Park. "It all went a bit mad!" laughs Charlotte.
Now eighteen Charlotte has become a media icon. A ill advised relationship with ’model’ and all round bad boy Steven Johnson and on going arguments with her mother have put Charlotte very much under public scrutiny, but it has only made her more popular. Charlotte will turn her hand to anything these days, she presented Have I Got News For You? made a guest appearance on a dance track and even starred in a film, I’ll Be There. She is a chat show regular, openly voicing her opinions about fellow stars in a very down to earth way.
She may be one of the richest teenagers in the UK after coming into her fortune on her eighteenth but Charlotte Church is as normal as they come.
