Charlotte Expecting-March 01 2007
The voice of an angel, Charlotte Church has announced she is expecting a child with her perma-tan boyfriend Gavin Henson.
The couple who have been dating for over a year are said to be delighted. According to Charlotte’s website, charlottechurch.com, her management commented, “For reasons of privacy, Charlotte has chosen not to comment on this matter, other than to confirm that she and her boyfriend, Gavin Henson, are delighted.
“In an ideal world, we would not have made this announcement so early in the pregnancy. However, due to recent speculation and persistent questions from the media about this most private of matters, Charlotte felt she had no choice other than to go public and she was keen to ensure that her fans had the opportunity to read the truth here first.”
No doubt Gavin will now be only too familiar with her single, Moodswings.
’Sober’ Charlotte sparks baby rumours - Feb 23 2007
It seems Charlotte Church’s last minute decision to opt for a booze-free birthday party has left friends wondering whether she might be pregnant.
Pals of the Voice of an Angel have noticed that the star has put on a bit of weight in the past few weeks, according to the Sun.
And they have apparently become suspicious since the star mysteriously chose to cancel her plans for a big 21st party in Cardiff’s Hilton Hotel this weekend to celebrate in a low-key bash with her family and close friends.
The singer, who took the day off on Wednesday for her birthday, remained sober throughout the day, according to the paper.
Charlotte recently told the Sun that she wouldn’t mind starting a family with 25-year-old rugby star boyfriend Gavin Henson.
"We’re so happy - I’d like to have his kids. I love him and he’s the one" she said.
Charlotte: Second series will be better - Feb 13 2007
Charlotte Church seems to think that the first series of her Channel 4 chatshow left room for improvement.
And she apparently described her role as chatshow host as a bit "unprofessional" - but insists she got better and she is a hard task master.
The singer told The Sun: "When the first show went out, I was really proud. But now I can see I looked a bit unprofessional and some bits just weren’t right.
"I’m quite harsh with myself in that respect. Mainly because I don’t like watching myself.
"I always think, ’You f***king idiot, what are you doing? What are you making that face for?’ But I think I definitely got better."
Charlotte also said her boyfriend Gavin Henson watched each show in the studio and gave her honest advice.
Speaking in an interview on the Channel 4 website, she said: "Even when the show starts, even though you want it to be slick and professional, it’s still going to be a big learning curve for me.
"The last show of the series will probably be 10 times better than the first show of the series. We’re going to try and make a high-energy show that hasn’t got one minute where you want to turn over. Hopefully it’ll be really quick and really funny."

Five years later and Charlotte was making a name for herself at local karaoke competitions, and then...
"I was watching the Richard and Judy show on TV and they said they were looking for talented kids. No-one was around so I phoned up," she says. "The producers said I had to sing down the phone. So I did ’Pie Jesu’ and that was it, I was invited on the show. Mum and Dad were the last to find out!"
This led to even more television performances, as well as high profile concerts at the London Palladium, the Royal Albert Hall and Cardiff Arms Park. "It all went a bit mad!" laughs Charlotte.
Now eighteen Charlotte has become a media icon. A ill advised relationship with ’model’ and all round bad boy Steven Johnson and on going arguments with her mother have put Charlotte very much under public scrutiny, but it has only made her more popular. Charlotte will turn her hand to anything these days, she presented Have I Got News For You? made a guest appearance on a dance track and even starred in a film, I’ll Be There. She is a chat show regular, openly voicing her opinions about fellow stars in a very down to earth way.
She may be one of the richest teenagers in the UK after coming into her fortune on her eighteenth but Charlotte Church is as normal as they come.
