Charlotte and Gavin ’in love’ - Feb 6 2007
Welsh songstress Charlotte Church has dismissed rumours that her relationship with Gavin Henson is on the rocks following a string of stories about blazing rows.
The star and her rugby hunk are just as in love as they were and Gavin "gives as good as he gets" claims her mother Maria.
She also dismissed claims that Charlotte was slimming down to a size eight to please her boyfriend, reports Reveal.
Her mother told the magazine: "We keep hearing about these supposed diets that Charlotte is meant to be on, but it’s total rubbish.
"She’s fed up of going on about it. She’s a size 12 and is more than happy with who she is - and so is Gavin. He loves her curvy figure - like most men, he likes a bit of flesh.
"She eats healthy food and looks after herself. She has to eat well because she cooks Gav’s meals, and he insists on eating only the best foods."
Charlotte also doesn’t go to the gym because she hates it, her mother said.
Speaking about the couple’s relationship, her mum Maria said: "Charlotte has told me: ’We are stronger than ever and really happy’. They’re just as in love as they ever were."
She also said that they all laughed at reports that Gavin will dump her because of her fiery temper.
"Charlotte’s happier than ever. Gavin gives as good as he gets - he has no issues with her," Maria added.
Char’s no angel with boozy night out - Jan 8 2007
If cutting down on booze was one of Charlotte Church’s New Year’s resolutions it seems she’s broken it already - by drinking boyfriend Gavin Henson under the table at a ski resort.
She reportedly sank 10 sambucas and six vodka Red Bulls before tucking into a pepperoni pizza in a single night when on holiday with friends in Chamonix, according to The Sun.
The Voice Of An Angel singer removed her gold stiletto shoes and announced: "It’s icy out there. I can’t wear these shoes.
"Besides, aren’t I meant to be an angel? I’ll float around like an angel in my tights."
Char and Gav visited a series of venues including Chambre Neuf, Tigre Tigre and Pizza Salsa, where Charlotte gobbled a Pepperoni Delight.
According to the paper, the lovebirds had a row as Charlotte threatened to attack the rugby star with her pizza.
"The pizza’s lush," she reportedly said. "Why don’t you f*****g have some, Gav?... Eat the f*****g pizza or I’ll rub it all over your face."
Sports-mad Gavin refused to touch the fast-food because it contained cheese and apparently walked off as Charlotte attempted to smear him with a slice.
Then, the tipsy TV presenter reportedly said of Gavin: "He’s impossible when he’s drunk. Why can’t he know his limits?"
Hmmm...

Five years later and Charlotte was making a name for herself at local karaoke competitions, and then...
"I was watching the Richard and Judy show on TV and they said they were looking for talented kids. No-one was around so I phoned up," she says. "The producers said I had to sing down the phone. So I did ’Pie Jesu’ and that was it, I was invited on the show. Mum and Dad were the last to find out!"
This led to even more television performances, as well as high profile concerts at the London Palladium, the Royal Albert Hall and Cardiff Arms Park. "It all went a bit mad!" laughs Charlotte.
Now eighteen Charlotte has become a media icon. A ill advised relationship with ’model’ and all round bad boy Steven Johnson and on going arguments with her mother have put Charlotte very much under public scrutiny, but it has only made her more popular. Charlotte will turn her hand to anything these days, she presented Have I Got News For You? made a guest appearance on a dance track and even starred in a film, I’ll Be There. She is a chat show regular, openly voicing her opinions about fellow stars in a very down to earth way.
She may be one of the richest teenagers in the UK after coming into her fortune on her eighteenth but Charlotte Church is as normal as they come.
