Gwen's sleepless nights - Sept 28 2007
Gwen Stefani has apparently revealed that like most mums of young children - she suffers from sleep deprivation.
The peroxide blonde rocker has a 15-month-old son Kingston, who travels on tour with her.
"Kingston is walking now and he never sleeps," she reportedly told the Daily Mail.
"And if he doesn't sleep. I don't sleep. Last night it was insane. By this morning I thought I was going to die of tiredness.
"It's hard to get the balance right. The touring life is hard enough. To do it with a baby can be almost impossible."
The 37-year-old says motherhood is the best thing that has ever happened to her - even though it is not as she expected.
"Motherhood isn't quite what I thought it was going to be, " she said. "I thought it would change me as a person, but I still feel like my old self. I haven't changed. I still talk the same. I still act the same. Creatively, I feel exactly the same.
"The only difference is that life is now much better. I now have a mind-blowing little guy who is the reward for a lot of hard work. After having Kingston I feel complete."
Gwen Wants Another Baby - Aug 16 2007
One child isn’t enough for Gwen Stefani - the Hollaback Girl can’t wait to have another.
"Obviously, I’m in a race to have another, but I don’t want to do it while on tour," she said in the September issue of US InStyle.
"But I can’t wait to get pregnant again. It’s so fun and consuming and romantic."
The singer, who is mum to one-year-old Kingston, is aware about the fallbacks of parenthood, but admits the sleepless nights are worth putting up with.
"I definitely don’t get enough sleep, but I’d rather spend time with him. I’ve got this extra-fun, amazing little guy who just wants to hang out with me. I love him so much. He’s the best thing that has ever happened to me," she added.
Gwen also reveals how she sings Kingston lullabies like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star before he falls asleep, before she goes on stage while touring.
"It’s super hard having a baby on tour, but super fun. If I had to leave him at home and not bring him with me everywhere, then I wouldn’t do this. He sings a lot to himself. He’s just getting into music. He does the whole head-bouncing thing."
With two musical parents - Kingston’s dad is Gwen’s husband, rocker Gavin Rossdale, it should only be a matter of time before their son shows off some melodic talent.
Gwen ’sues high-street clothing chain’ - July 19 2007
Gwen Stefani has apparently filed a lawsuit against an American high-street clothing chain.
According to Access Hollywood, the singer is suing Forever 21, claiming the retailer stole one of the designs from her Harajuku Lovers line.
The suit was filed in Los Angeles Federal Court claiming trademark infringement.
Representatives for Gwen’s Harajuku Lovers allege Forever 21 is selling products with a design that is "virtually indistinguishable" from a heart logo used by Gwen’s brand -- with "Harajuku" simply changed to "Forever" and "Lovers" to "Love."
Not only are they seeking monetary damages but also a share of Forever 21’s profits and gains, over claims it has devalued the design.
As a result of the chain using a similar image, Gwen’s company is claiming it has allegedly "suffered and continues to suffer damage to its business reputation."

However, in 1987 Spence committed suicide and Gwen was left to take over as the band’s only vocalist, a role which she juggled with college studies and a romance with Kanal. No Doubt gained a solid following in the local area and when Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ Flea recorded a demo for the band it was only a matter of time before they signed a deal.
Although their eponymous debut album and the follow up, The Beacon Street Collection, were seen as something of a failure by their record company, No Doubt’s third try, Tragic Kingdom (recorded without Eric, who had left to become an animator on The Simpsons), became a hit thanks mostly to stand out single Don’t Speak It was at this time that the rest of the band were pushed to the sidelines as the press and public focused increasingly on Gwen who, having split with Tony, was romantically linked with Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale.
Two more albums followed the success of Tragic Kingdom – Return of Saturn and Rock Steady – but it was Gwen the world was interested in as she dueted with rapper Eve, featured on Moby’s Southside and married Gavin in a 2002 ceremony in London. While No Doubt took a break Gwen hooked up with writer Linda Perry and a house-full of collaborators for her debut solo album Love Angel Music Baby, which sold millions on the strength of the fantastic What You Waiting For?
While Gwen’s professional life was on the up – she launched L.A.M.B, her own clothing range and appeared in Martin Scorcese’s The Aviator as silver screen icon Jean Harlow – her personal life seemed to be taking a turn for the worse when it was revealed that her husband had a secret lovechild with tabloid favourite Pearl Lowe (she of the Sadie/Jude wife swapping revelations). However Gwen has vowed to stand by her man and is even talking of starting a family of her own…we just hope parenthood doesn’t stop her wearing those fantastic fairytale outfits in public.
