Great Brit - May 05
Javine is on her way to Kiev and is confident about her performance.
The Ladbrooke Grove singer is positive that her song Touch My Fire will help her to get in to the top ten on Saturday 20th May at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest but is remaining philosophical, telling press “it’s a singing competition which shouldn’t be taken seriously.”
Javine beat off competition from pregnant glamour model Jordan to represent the UK in the contest and has already been the subject of tabloid gossip after a wardrobe malfunction and boyfriend problems.
Brits are feeling confident that Javine will do far better than previous entrants Jemini and the rest of Europe seem to be taking our entry this year far more seriously, so you have to wonder if this really could be our year. Bluesq are offering odds of 20/1 on a Javine win, showing confidence in her performance but nonetheless eight entrants are placed before with Greece and Norway expected to battle it out for the prize.
Good luck Javine!
Javine’s big split - Apr 05
Javine has split from her long term boyfriend in spectacular style. The Eurovision contender dumped club promoter Tony Chorale citing ’work pressures’, which all sounds quite civilised and friendly but according to Tony she ripped up his clothes and has since sent him a barrage of angry texts. "The messages she has been sending are really hurtful - really awful. I need to speak to her and find out what’s going on, but she won’t return my calls," says Tony, but despite everything he still wants to get back together with her.bless.
Boob ban - Apr 05
Javine has been asked to keep it decent at the Eurovision Song Contest following her ’wardrobe malfunction’. The Londoner has been told to tone down her outfit on the big night as organisers are concerned that viewers across Europe will be shocked if it happens again.

A role in the stage version of The Lion King followed, in which Javine spent two years, honing her skills in singing and dancing by night whilst studying in the daytime. This was when opportunity came knocking - a local audition for Popstars, The Rivals - she was hugely popular with audiences and made it in to the final six, narrowly missing out on a place in Girls Aloud.
Luckily Javine’s talents had been noted and she was offered a record deal with Innocent, sharing a label with Blue and Atomic Kitten. Her debut single Real Things reached number four in the charts and gained massive radio play. However, Javine’s releases have been largely ignored and despite much press attention surrounding her Eurovision attempt she remains very much out of the spotlight. She has now moved in to musical theatre, appearing in Daddy Cool.
