Meanwhile, the supermodel has pulled out of a ?1million book deal - because she doesn’t want details of her cocaine scandal published. The 32-year-old had originally hoped the deal would re-launch her career, after the cocaine allegations emerged last year. However, following her stint in rehab and receiving the news the police would not be pressing charges, Kate no longer feels it is necessary to pen the tell-all book.
Kate will not face charges - June 15, 2020
Kate Moss will not face charges for possession of cocaine. A ?200,000 police investigation has ended in chaos after Britain’s Crown Prosecution Service ruled images showing the supermodel chopping up white powder in a London recording studio last September did not constitute sufficient evidence to prosecute. A source said: "We knew from the outset that the photographs were not legal proof. The case would never have gone ahead if it had been plain Mr Jones."
Meanwhile, Moss is reportedly buying a secret Jamaican hideaway formerly owned by James Bond creator Ian Fleming. The catwalk beauty has teamed up with close friends Sadie Frost and Stella McCartney, Sir Paul McCartney’s daughter, to buy up shares in the tropical resort Goldeneye, where the 007 author penned all his spy novels.
A source is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: "Kate, Sadie and Stella want to buy a large chunk of it and turn it into a party paradise for their pals. "They can then vet who comes to the resort so they can all let their hair down safely without any paparazzi watching." The exclusive hangout, made up of cottage style villas and beach-front properties is owned by music mogul Chris Blackwell who plans to expand the small private retreat into a large village resort on Jamaica’s north shore. Scarlett Johansson and boyfriend Josh Hartnett recently enjoyed a romantic break on the island, Bono and Harrison Ford have both made visits and Naomi Campbell already owns a villa there.
Developer Roger Brown told America’s Los Angeles Times newspaper: "We will play with the Bond theme but the suites will be tastefully done. We are even building an arena for catwalk shows. It’s not going to be like Disneyland. We were kind of hoping for a naked gold-painted blonde sprawled on the king bed." The remodelled Goldeneye resort is scheduled for completion in late 2007, the plans include a thalassotherapy spa, clubhouse, tennis courts, fitness centres, swimming pools, restaurants and doctors offices. Prices start at $700,000 for a Cove Hut, $1 million for a Beach Cottage and $3 million for a two-storey Lagoon Villa.
Kate’s car was raided by a gang - June 12, 2020
Kate Moss was left "shaken and anxious" after her car was raided by a gang - just days after her mobile phone was stolen. The supermodel is said to be fearful her three-year-old daughter Lila could become a kidnapping target, following the incident.
The raid on Moss’ ?50,000 Range Rover took place near her North London home, when her nanny, Jade Davidson, was taking Lila to a ballet practice. According to reports, the child-minder stopped the vehicle on a quiet road after Lila complained of needing the toilet. Moments after Jade and Lila left the car, robbers struck and escaped with Jade’s handbag, as well as a substantial sum of money.

After a series of shoots for teenage magazines, it was Harper’s Bazaar that finally launched her into the international arena. In 1992, she became the Face of Calvin Klein. Moss originally spearheaded the controversial "waif" look which critics claimed encouraged anorexia in impressionable teenagers. The girl from Croydon, who once said she "might’ve been a bank manager" now divides her time between London and LA, where she is often seen at The Viper Rooms, the controversial club owned by her one-time actor boyfriend Johnny Depp.
She has appeared in several notable documentaries about the fashion world and in 1995, released a hard-back book of pictures entitled simply "Kate". Having checked into London’s £300-a-day Priory Clinic in November 1998 suffering from exhaustion, Kate emerged refreshed the following January to announce that she had spent the last decade modelling "drunk". She told The Face magazine, "That’s what you do. You always have champagne before the shows. Always. Even at ten in the morning. It got to the point one time when we were [saying], ’We’re not going out without any champagne’."
Losing the Calvin Klein contract to fellow Brit Lisa Ratliffe in 1999, Kate has now taken on the status of fashion icon. In the May 2000 issue of Vogue, she played muse to a variety of the most cutting edge artists and photographers. In London she is still represented by Storm. Written in 2000
