The model met with detectives for 90 minutes, four months after a British newspaper published photographs of her apparently snorting the drug. On her lawyers advice Kate refused to comment on whether she had taken cocaine, denied supplying it to others and made no admissions. Police are said to be disappointed by the outcome of the interview and fear they do not have enough evidence to continue with the case. A police source told Britain ’s The Sun newspaper: "The job is a dead duck. "No substances were ever recovered and photographs are not enough by themselves to build a case."
Kate is due back in Britain - Jan 31, 2021
Kate Moss is due back in Britain within the next 48 hours - to be questioned by police over drug allegations. The supermodel will be quizzed about the now infamous images of her snorting cocaine.
A friend of the supermodel told The Sun newspaper: "Kate’s finally decided to face up to her responsibilities. "She’s realised that as long as she’s honest, she has little to fear and will be better of talking to police." The 32-year-old beauty - who recently split from drug addicted musician Pete Doherty - won’t be arrested but will have her lawyer with her. Moss has been residing abroad ever since pictures of her taking cocaine appeared last September.
A senior Scotland Yard source confirmed they are to question Moss, saying: "We have made it clear through her representatives that we’ll see her at whichever police station she chooses, whenever she chooses. But we want this done sooner rather than later." Moss is expected to leave the country again immediately after being interviewed.

Meanwhile, the star was forced to run to cops after being involved in a high-speed car chase last night (26.01.05). The 32-year-old was being driven through Paris by magazine editor Jean-Yves Lefur when a pack of at least 15 photographers started tailing them. Lefur allegedly started driving "like a bat out of hell" as the pair raced to escape the paparazzi. An onlooker is quoted in The Sun newspaper as saying: "It was like something out of a movie." The pair then made their way to a police station and made a complaint about being hounded by the press.

However, friends of the star - who lost several lucrative modelling contracts and checked into rehab after photographs of her snorting cocaine were published last year - fear the book could upset her clients. One pal of the catwalk beauty is quoted in the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: "She has just got her career back on track after everything that has happened but it is a fragile equilibrium and we don’t think she should rock the boat. "She could jeopardise everything if she decides to talk openly about drugs."

After a series of shoots for teenage magazines, it was Harper’s Bazaar that finally launched her into the international arena. In 1992, she became the Face of Calvin Klein. Moss originally spearheaded the controversial "waif" look which critics claimed encouraged anorexia in impressionable teenagers. The girl from Croydon, who once said she "might’ve been a bank manager" now divides her time between London and LA, where she is often seen at The Viper Rooms, the controversial club owned by her one-time actor boyfriend Johnny Depp.
She has appeared in several notable documentaries about the fashion world and in 1995, released a hard-back book of pictures entitled simply "Kate". Having checked into London’s £300-a-day Priory Clinic in November 1998 suffering from exhaustion, Kate emerged refreshed the following January to announce that she had spent the last decade modelling "drunk". She told The Face magazine, "That’s what you do. You always have champagne before the shows. Always. Even at ten in the morning. It got to the point one time when we were [saying], ’We’re not going out without any champagne’."
Losing the Calvin Klein contract to fellow Brit Lisa Ratliffe in 1999, Kate has now taken on the status of fashion icon. In the May 2000 issue of Vogue, she played muse to a variety of the most cutting edge artists and photographers. In London she is still represented by Storm. Written in 2000
