"When you go to a public toilet there you don’t have to touch anything - the door opens automatically, it closes automatically, a machine gives you four pieces of toilet paper, the seat is warmed and it makes birdie noises so no-one can hear you pee! You can’t hear a thing."
On a more serious level, the former reality show star thinks the show has given her an insight in other cultures.
"There is nothing greater than knowledge. I learnt so much about myself as a person in terms of what I can cope with, what I like, what I don’t like, what I’m capable of doing," she says.
"I learnt that a lot of people are very small minded and to be unbiased and to walk into a country and say, ’You know, that isn’t the way I would do it, but it doesn’t mean that it’s wrong’."
Kelly Osbourne Turning Japanese is on ITV2 from February 1.
Kelly to head Down Under - Nov 1 2006
Kelly Osbourne is reportedly set to host ITV2’s coverage of the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
The star, who shot to fame on reality TV show The Osbournes, will front a programme from Australia for every night of the series, according to The Sun.
The 22-year-old - daughter of former Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy and X Factor judge Sharon - will be joined by Aussie funnyman Brendon Burns, who will present part of the show in the UK.
So far there’s no word on the celebs Kelly will be discussing when she goes Down Under.
But a string of big names are rumoured to have signed up for a stint in the jungle camp.
They include former Hear’Say babe Myleene Klass, ex Emmerdale star Malandra Burrows, Cherie Blair’s sister Lauren Booth, former S Clubber Rachel Stevens and So Solid Crew’s MC Harvey.
Louise Redknapp and Matt Willis are also thought to be interested.
Fire at the Buckinghamshire home - July 7, 2020
Fire-fighters bravely battled a fierce early morning blaze at Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s £5 million mansion yesterday (06.07.06). The couple’s 21-year-old daughter Kelly was reportedly the only member of the family at home when the fire - thought to be started by a faulty lamp - ripped through the family’s Buckinghamshire home.
Luckily, Ozzy had recently fitted the house with a state-of-the-art £2,000 fire alarm, which automatically alerted the emergency services. A Buckinghamshire Fire Service spokesman said: "The blaze was caught in the nick of time. "If we hadn’t been alerted so quickly it could have been a lot worse." Kelly was woken by firemen and escaped unhurt, however, a female employee was treated for smoke inhalation.
The fire follows a series of unlucky incidents at the property. In 2003, Ozzy spent eight days in a coma after a near-fatal quad biking accident in the grounds of the mansion, while the following year the rocker tackled a cat burglar, before the thief escaped with close to £2 million of jewellery. In March 2005, a fire broke out in the living room of the manor as the family slept. A friend of Ozzy’s said: "He thinks the place is bloody cursed. He is wondering if a plague of locusts will be next."

The series led to Kelly releasing an album in 2002, aged just eighteen. Shut Up failed to spark much interest despite a well played cover of Papa Don’t Preach debuting at number 1 in the American charts. Later in the same year a duet with Ozzy, Changes, became both father and daughter’s first UK number one.
Meanwhile Kelly broke in to television presenting, hosting MTV’s award ceremonies and taking a guest slot on Top of the Pops. She also took a part on teen soap Life As We Know It, first aired in 2004. However, it was at this time that Kelly checked in to rehab with an addiction to painkillers, her problems echoing those of Ozzy and Jack, both of whom have battled with drink and drug addictions.
Not one to stay down for long Kelly was soon working again, her second album, Sleeping in the Nothing, may have failed to win over listeners, selling just 9,000 copies but single One Word was a dance hit. Kelly launched her own fashion line, Stiletto Killers, with friend Ali Barone in 2004 whilst also continuing with her presenting career. She has fronted I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’s digital spin-off show and has replaced Liz Hurley as the presenter of Project Catwalk.
Following several ill advised matches, including her highly publicised relationship with Bert McCracken, Kelly and boyfriend Matty Derham of Fields reportedly took part in a marriage at a music festival in Ireland. Despite the fact that the marriage was not legally binding the couple were later spotted buying gold bands together.
