Li-Lo in rehab again - May 30 2007
Lindsay Lohan has checked into rehab again after a weekend in which the wild-child actress crashed her Mercedes, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and was photographed slumped in the passenger seat of a friend’s car.
Lindsay, who will be 21 in July, "admitted herself to an intensive medical rehabilitation facility" on Monday, according to a statement released by her publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnick.
The statement added: "Because this is a medical matter, it is our hope that the press will appreciate the seriousness of the situation and respect the privacy of Lindsay as well as the other patients receiving treatment at the facility."
This is Li-Lo’s second rehab stint this year. She said in January that she had checked into a rehabilitation centre for substance abuse treatment.
"It’s so weird that I went to rehab," the Mean Girls star said in Allure magazine’s May issue. "I always said I would die before I went to rehab."
Lindsay was arrested on Saturday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence after her car mounted a kerb and hit a shrub on Sunset Boulevard.
Witnesses called police, who arrived to find both Li-Lo and the vehicle missing from the accident site, said Beverly Hills Police Lt Mitch McCann.
"We tracked down the vehicle to a nearby apartment complex and tracked down Ms Lohan to a
The actress was back out on the town before the Memorial Day weekend was over. Photographers captured her slumped in the passenger seat of a friend’s car early on Monday morning.
Lindsay ’at pool party’ after arrest - May 30 2007
Lindsay Lohan continued to party over the holiday weekend, despite being arrested for investigation of misdemeanour driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, according to US reports yesterday.
The actress was involved in a crash on Saturday and suffered minor injuries.
Police said investigators found what they believe is cocaine at the scene.
On Sunday Lindsay attended a Memorial Day pool party for 944 magazine at
She was also pictured apparently asleep or passed out in the passenger seat of her DJ friend Samantha Ronson’s car later that morning.
Lindsay dropped her sunglasses and cigarettes on her way out of the hotel, then collapsed when she bent to pick them up and a bouncer lifted her into the car, the paper reported.
On Saturday, the 20-year-old and two other people were in her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 when it crashed on LA’s Sunset Boulevard at about 5.30am.
Lieutenant Mitch McCann said officers at the scene found a "usable amount" of a drug tentatively identified as cocaine. He declined to say where the drug was found other than to say Lindsay was not carrying it.
The star was driven to hospital for treatment for minor injuries, Mr McCann said.
The two other people in her car weren’t hurt.
Officers received an emergency call about the accident and arrested Lindsay at the hospital for investigation of misdemeanour driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, he said.
She was released from custody because she was admitted to hospital, he added.

Born to a wealthy family Lindsay was nonetheless put to work from an early age. At three she was signed to a modelling agency and quickly built up a portfolio of work with the likes of Toys R Us and Calvin Klein Kids. As a teen she appeared in numerous magazines such as Elle Girl and Bliss and in television commercials for Jell-O among others.
At ten years of age Lindsay bagged a role on American soap Another World which she soon abandoned when offered a big screen part in the remake of The Parent Trap in which she played twins. The part brought her to the attention of filmmakers throughout Hollywood and ensured future parts would roll on in.
Made for TV movies and a short lived sitcom part followed before Lindsay, then sixteen, was offered another cult remake - Freaky Friday - alongside Jamie Lee Curtis. Two further teen flicks followed, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and the Clueless-esque Mean Girls. The success of the two movies cemented Lindsay’s status as Teen Queen. Closely followed by Herbie: Fully Loaded Lindsay hoped to make the transition to adult film star smoothly however 2006’s Just My Luck was not well received. More serious roles are set to follow in Georgia Rule, Speechless, A Woman of No Importance and The Best Time of Our Lives.
As well as acting Lindsay had taken the opportunity to showcase her musical skills in her films and before long she was taken under the wing of Mariah Carey’s ex Tommy Mottola. Her debut album, Speak, was released in 2004 with the single Rumours earning critical acclaim. 2005’s A Little More Personal included a dramatically intimate track aimed at her father who had spent much of Lindsay’s life in prison. She is currently working on a third album.
Since 2003 Lindsay has been regular tabloid fodder beginning with a rumoured feud with fellow teen actress Hilary Duff. Her weight has been a serious issue, with the actress admitting that she had ’nearly died’, before dedicating herself to getting her shape back. She has also gained the reputation of girl about town, partying hard with the likes of Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton whilst dealing with a run of bad luck which has included three car crashes and some rumoured illnesses.
