Paris Hilton
- Profession: Hotel heiress
- Place/Date of Birth: New York City, 17 February 2021
"She really works very hard to be taken seriously in the industry and make good music people will enjoy. Of all her projects, her music is the most important to her, and she’s really serious about it."
Paris Tipped for Blockbuster Role - July 9 2007
Paris Hilton has tried her hand at many things, but she has yet to find success in the movies - ending up in a series of straight-to-DVD flops. But that could be about to change...
It appears the recently-jailed heiress has an A-list benefactor in director Brett Ratner. Brett is best known as one of the hardest partiers in Hollywood, but also helmed X-Men: The Last Stand and Red Dragon.
Talking to TMZ.com outside Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills, Brett revealed that he is planning to cast Paris in his next project, although he wouldn’t say what the movie is. When asked if it was X-Men 4, he replied that it was "better than that".
The director is currently in last-minute post-production on Rush Hour 3, which reunited Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker and the success of that could mean another sequel.
However, he has also just signed up to make a biopic of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner. After her own sex-tape scandal, it could be the perfect cinematic big break for Paris.
Image change for Paris? - July 3 2007
Paris Hilton apparently has big plans to re-invent herself following her stint in jail.
The socialite - who spent 23 days behind bars for a probation violation - has pledged to clean up her act by laying off the parties and adopting a more serious style, says Reveal magazine.
"To get things started, Paris has removed all of the negative influences in her home," a pal said. "She’s banned alcohol from her bar, leaving behind only some bottles of fine champagne and wine for special occasions.
"Paris doesn’t want her home to be a party house any more. She’s starting to think about living a more private life."
And it sounds as if the socialite’s short, sparkly numbers will also be a thing of the past.
The source said: "She’s already started shopping online for a more sophisticated and demure look. Her mum Kathy even picked out some beautiful, restrained pieces while Paris was in prison.
"She has replaced all her heavy make-up with a more natural look. And Kathy has been coaching her on how to look, dress and act more of a lady."
Paris’s friend added that the starlet, who has also spoken about her plans to do some charity work, has been enjoying the makeover.
"She said she feels all grown-up and worldly - like a real, old-school New York socialite instead of a Hollywood wannabe."
Paris escaping party set? - July 2 2007
Paris Hilton is reportedly leaving Hollywood for Beverly Hills to escape the wild parties.
Fresh from her stint in jail, the blonde heiress is said to be keen to get away from the young party scene and move to a leafier, quieter district.
A source told the Sun: "Paris wants to show she’s serious about cleaning up her act. Her current home carries too much temptation. All her clubbing pals pop round before and after they go out and try to get her involved.
"She’s going to move to Beverly Hills. It’s a quieter area and full of older stars rather than the young party set.
"She wants a clean break, in a fresh place with new people."
The 26-year-old told CNN’s Larry King last week that her experience in prison had changed her.

She might be set to inherit an estimated $20m but that hasn’t stopped Paris turning her hand to a variety of ’jobs’ including TV star ? on The Simple Life, in which ex friend Nicole also starred ? movie star (with cameo appearances in Zoolander and The Cat in The Hat followed by a starring role in House of Wax), writer, albeit of her own autobiography, and model. These extra jobs are thought to have netted her around an extra $6m, a tidy sum which no doubt more than makes up for the ridicule Paris faces daily.
More recently Paris has get in on the music industry, founding Heiress Records on which she will produce her own debut record ? first single ’Screwed’ has already been leaked and, naturally, slated. She has also hit the headlines for becoming engaged to fellow heir Paris Latsis with whom she is regularly seen on the LA and New York party scene.
