Chat show to examine Patsy - May 31 2007
Holby City’s Patsy Kensit will be guesting on The New Paul O’Grady Show next Thursday (June 7), and let’s hope for the comic’s sake she’s calmed down a bit.

In April she appeared on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross and had the dapper host pinned to his desk.

She launched into an impromptu examination to illustrate her work on the BBC medical drama but admitted it wasn’t a job she was cut out for in real life.

"I couldn’t do it, I’d get too emotionally involved," she explained.

Patsy prepared for her role as Holby’s Faye Morton by watching open-heart surgery, but it left the 39-year-old feeling nauseous.

Thankfully, the only organ she’ll come into contact with on Paul’s show will be of the musical variety.

The actress has spent some of her career appearing in big-screen offerings such as Hanover Street, Absolute Beginners and Lethal Weapon 2, although these days she prefers TV work.

"Making films isn’t for me any more because I’m an old girl in that world," she explained on Ross’s show recently.

It remains to be seen whether she’s changed her mind in the past few months.

With a bit of luck she will also be reflecting on her two years in Emmerdale as super bitch Sadie King.

Wedding Bells Again for Patsy? - 1 May 2020
It looks like Patsy Kensit may be getting hitched again after friends of her rapper boyfriend Lee Potter revealed he’s going to pop the question.

The 39-year-old, who has been married three times, recently moved 28-year-old Lee into her west London home and the pair could be about to get engaged, Closer revealed.

A source close to Lee said: "He’s going to ask her very soon and can’t wait. He’s a lot younger than Patsy, but he loves her so much. Everyone assumed it would fizzle out, but it’s been a year now."

Lee, best known as rapper Killa Kela, was dumped by his record label Sony/BMG earlier this year and is apparently trying to bag another deal.

Patsy, who has two sons from her marriages to Jim Kerr and Liam Gallagher, is apparently planning a party for Lee to welcome him to her house, but the friend says there may be other news to share.

"They’re planning a party in May to welcome him, but we’re expecting them to announce their engagement then too."

Patsy’s ’harrowing’ attack scenes - Mar 29 2007
Patsy Kensit has admitted she found it difficult shooting "harrowing" sex attack scenes for her new role in Holby City.

The actress, who plays newcomer Faye Morton, jetted out to Dubai to film scenes for a flashback sequence and admits it was tough.

"I started on the show and was told I would be filming these scenes, it wasn’t nice at all but it wasn’t meant to be and it was harrowing to watch," she is quoted by the Daily Star as saying.

"It’s hard doing those sort of scenes. When it’s a violation of your own space, even though you know you’re only acting, you’re in the moment as that character because you need to be for the drama of it."

The former Emmerdale star says it’s always horrible to be "pawed and pulled", even when you are just acting.

"It wasn’t pleasant and I think anyone in the same position would reach the way she does," she says.

Biography

Patsy Kensit was born in 1968 and brought up in Middlesex with Reggie Kray as a godfather. Her first movie appearance was in the 1974 production of ’Great Gatsby’ playing daughter to Mia Farrow and Bruce Dern.

In 1986 she starred in Absolute Beginners, the same year that she joined her brother’s short-lived band Eighth Wonder. In 1988 the album Fearless was released, including the single I’m Not Scared, which was produced in co-operation with The Pet Shop Boys.

Patsy appeared in several underachieving movies including Lethal Weapon 2, Angels & Insects and The One & Only. It was first a bit part in Bo Selecta and then her award winning role as uber bitch Sadie King that finally won Patsy some recognition.

However it’s her private life that she’s most famous for, with three failed rock star marriages already under her belt. The cast list reads: Dan Donovan of Big Audio Dynamite; Jim Kerr of Simple Minds; and finally, Liam Gallagher of Oasis.

She has two sons, James (by Jim Kerr) and Lennon (by Liam Gallagher).
