Pete Doherty
- Profession: Singer
- Place/Date of Birth: Hexham, England, 12 March 2020
- Associated with: Kate Moss
An onlooker was quoted in the Daily Mail newspaper as saying: "Her right cheek definitely looked bigger than the other side. "Both under her sunglasses and around her chin looked swollen." Moss’s aides have denied speculation Doherty may have hit her and insisted the swollen cheek was caused by "an unfortunate camera angle". They said Doherty had visited the model’s home to have a shower. Moss and the 27-year-old songwriter split after Doherty refused to go into rehab to treat his heroin addiction.
Kate kicked and punched Pete - May 22, 2020
Kate Moss kicked and punched ex-lover Pete Doherty after he injected heroin in front of a film crew. The supermodel allegedly lost her temper and attacked the drug-addled rocker as the pair talked in the street outside her London home.
She was furious after hearing the troubled singer had injected drugs backstage after a gig in Berlin - then squirted a syringe full of his blood over cameramen filming his Babyshambles bandmates. Doherty told a Swiss newspaper: "She was furious. She hit me until I was black and blue. She whacked me with her fists and feet. "I’m OK but she injured my finger."
Meanwhile, Doherty has been axed by his record label, Rough Trade, following the stunt. An industry insider told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "That was the last straw for Rough Trade. They couldn’t put up with that sort of behaviour any longer. "There’s only so much they could take. and Pete’s gone way beyond that. Rough Trade backed Pete as much as they could." A Babyshambles spokesman has confirmed the band are not on the label anymore.
Pete was seen smoking crack-cocaine - May 15, 2020
Pete Doherty was apparently seen smoking crack-cocaine before performing dressed in drag. The wild Babyshambles frontman was pictured smoking what appeared to be a crack pipe as he travelled to a concert in Cologne, Germany.
Doherty then bizarrely dressed up in a scarlet bra, floral dress, tights and black bobbed wig. The 27-year-old has admitted he is battling a drug addiction but has promised his dad - a Major in the British army - he will try and quit to save their relationship. Pete said: "My dad won’t acknowledge me. But I want a dad, I want to be close to him."
The singer revealed that his on-off girlfriend Kate Moss paid for him to go to rehab last year and gave him an ultimatum - her or the drugs. These latest drug allegations come just weeks after photographs were released showing Doherty injecting a fan with what was believed to be heroin. Rumours are now rife that the couple have got married after Doherty was seen wearing a ring on his wedding finger. Pete said: "It was given to me. It’s secret and sacred."
Kate is set to marry Pete - April 6, 2020
Kate Moss is set to marry on/off lover Pete Doherty in a Scottish castle later this year. The Babyshambles frontman says the pair - who have been through a series of public break ups and reconciliations - are planning to tie the knot in the autumn. The drug addled rocker is quoted in Britain’s The Sun newspaper as saying: "We are going to marry. It’s going to happen at a Scottish castle somewhere between September and November. "A posh Scottish castle. That’s going to be so cool."

A long and drawn out battle with drugs, an especially fiery relationship with Croydon’s favourite daughter and any number of bust ups and arrests has made the singer/songwriter one of Britain’s most recognisable faces (all be it a screwed up, sweaty zombie face).
Born on March 12 1979 in Hexham, Northumberland and living at various times in Liverpool, Shepherd’s Bush, Coventry, Dorset, Cyprus and Russia, Pete Doherty first came to the public’s attention as one half of the singing songwriting duo who fronted Britain’s must see band, The Libertines, who kick started the country’s new garage rock scene in 2002/03.
Debauched backstage shenanigans and frantic but brilliant shows saw The Libertines hit the headlines time and time again and their debut album, Up The Bracket, shot up the charts. However, the band’s success was to be short lived and numerous problems, between Pete and the rest of the band (specifically with best friend Carl Barat - the pair met when they became flatmates in Stoke Newington) saw them part ways but not before Pete hit the headlines for drink and drug problems which caused him to steal from his bandmates to feed his habit.
It was around this time that Lisa Moorish gave birth to Doherty’s child, Astile but, rather than settling down Pete carried on taking heroin, selling his ’My Drug Hell’ stories to any and every tabloid to pay for his out of control habit before being put in to several rehab clinics (including a Thai monastery), none of which have changed his ways.
Nonetheless he has managed to forge a career on his own, first working with Wolfman on For Lovers then forming Babyshambles, initially as a way to make money for.you guessed it! Now trying to get clean with the aid of Naltroxene after an arrest for assault, which resulted in some jail time as well as a curfew and constant supervision Pete is reportedly set to marry supermodel Kate Moss.
