Pete Doherty
- Profession: Singer
- Place/Date of Birth: Hexham, England, 12 March 2020
- Associated with: Kate Moss
He is being held at an east London police station after the car he was travelling in was stopped by police.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "A 28-year-old man was arrested in east London on suspicion of possession of drugs. He is in custody at an east London police station."
Pete took the stage at the festival in Stafford with his band Babyshambles.
One reviewer said he finished the set by demolishing the drum kit after starting four hours late, at 10pm, because of traffic.
Less than two weeks ago, a judge told the rocker he must kick his drug habit or go to jail.
The singer admitted driving illegally while in possession of crack, heroin, ketamine and cannabis in High Street Kensington, west London.
District Judge Davinder Lachlar asked for reports on his rehabilitation before making a decision during a hearing at West London Magistrates’ Court.
Pete, who enjoyed a high profile relationship with supermodel Kate Moss, has undergone a stomach implant to help him kick drugs.
Outside the court, he told reporters: "I’m banned from London. I can’t stay with my mum."
His solicitor, Sean Curran, later said Pete wasn’t banned from the capital, but said his bail address was outside London.
Pete’s musical dream - Aug 9 2007
Pete Doherty has apparently declared that he wants to put on a West End production of a musical he penned with Kate Moss.
The pair spent hours working on creative material together before they split, reports The Sun.
They kept a video diary and posted footage of their duets under the alias "KP Nuts" on YouTube.
During one of their romantic trysts at Kate’s Cotswolds mansion, they apparently began working on the beginnings of a musical.
A friend told the paper: "They made a very creative couple. They loved to spend time writing poetry and songs together.
"But it went much further than that. They worked on ideas for a musical and made short movies together.
"Pete thinks it would be such a waste if he scrapped all the material they created together.
"There is so much of it. The musical is something he was really into because it ventures outside the borders of singing on stage. The story was centred around a love tale of two star crossed lovers as they struggle through life."
Pete: Dating Kate was like Vietnam War - Aug 1 2007
Pete Doherty has said that his relationship with Kate Moss "became like the Vietnam War".
Talking about the huge arguments that raged between them, the troubled singer told the Sun that he has not begged her to come back, saying instead: "I left her."
He added: "I was always dodging bullets. The last six weeks of our relationship were bad. We had one massive bust-up and it carried on from there.
Pete also denied he cheated on Kate: "Obviously there has been the stuff about me cheating but that was after a bad period of arguments. I didn’t cheat on her.
"In the past when we talked about what would happen if she caught me cheating, I’d say, ’I bet you’d chop my bits off’.
"But she’d say, ’No, I’d never speak to you again’ - like my dad doesn’t - as she knows that would hurt me. That’s what she’s done."
The Babyshambles singer, who has been fitted with an anti-drugs implant last week to help him fight his heroin addiction, also said that he is trying to find a way to pay off his £180,000 debts.

A long and drawn out battle with drugs, an especially fiery relationship with Croydon’s favourite daughter and any number of bust ups and arrests has made the singer/songwriter one of Britain’s most recognisable faces (all be it a screwed up, sweaty zombie face).
Born on March 12 1979 in Hexham, Northumberland and living at various times in Liverpool, Shepherd’s Bush, Coventry, Dorset, Cyprus and Russia, Pete Doherty first came to the public’s attention as one half of the singing songwriting duo who fronted Britain’s must see band, The Libertines, who kick started the country’s new garage rock scene in 2002/03.
Debauched backstage shenanigans and frantic but brilliant shows saw The Libertines hit the headlines time and time again and their debut album, Up The Bracket, shot up the charts. However, the band’s success was to be short lived and numerous problems, between Pete and the rest of the band (specifically with best friend Carl Barat - the pair met when they became flatmates in Stoke Newington) saw them part ways but not before Pete hit the headlines for drink and drug problems which caused him to steal from his bandmates to feed his habit.
It was around this time that Lisa Moorish gave birth to Doherty’s child, Astile but, rather than settling down Pete carried on taking heroin, selling his ’My Drug Hell’ stories to any and every tabloid to pay for his out of control habit before being put in to several rehab clinics (including a Thai monastery), none of which have changed his ways.
Nonetheless he has managed to forge a career on his own, first working with Wolfman on For Lovers then forming Babyshambles, initially as a way to make money for.you guessed it! Now trying to get clean with the aid of Naltroxene after an arrest for assault, which resulted in some jail time as well as a curfew and constant supervision Pete is reportedly set to marry supermodel Kate Moss.
