Ricky Gervais
- Profession: Actor
- Place/Date of Birth: Reading, Berkshire, 25 June 2020
But Ricky, 45, shouldn’t feel too glum about Sacha’s talent - he’s won two Golden Globes, six Baftas and one Emmy.
He is also set to make his big screen debut later this week in Ben Stiller’s Night At The Museum.
"I wasn’t certain it was the right thing to do but the more I said no, the more the money went up," Ricky said.
Ricky buys £2.5m mansion - Oct 10, 2020
It’s a far cry from Slough... Ricky Gervais has splashed out more than £2.5 million on a mansion in north London. The four-bed, three-bathroom house is slap bang in the middle of the celebrity heartlands, according to The Sun.
In fact Ricky’s good mate Jonathan Ross is just a step away - and the pair are embracing the trappings of their luxury lifestyle. Ricky said: "It’s near Jonathan’s. I’ve got a pool planned and he’s got a miniature golf course - so we’re both well sorted."
A source told the newspaper: "Ricky has been living right in the heart of London’s West End for years. He wanted to get a place which is a little more secluded and not so hectic."
Now the star of The Office and Extras can enjoy underfloor heating, walnut floors, multiple balconies and a spacious garden. He’ll live there with TV producer Jane Fallon, his long-time girlfriend.
It’s a hard life being a comedy superstar.

No extra Law - Mar 05
Jude Law has backed out of Ricky Gervais’ new TV project, Extras. Jude cited work commitments as the reason behind him pulling out of the long awaited follow up to Ricky’s hit series The Office, however we have to wonder if the comedian took the p**s one too many times. The first pictures of the series have been printed by press and show Ricky dressed as a bobby on the beat. He will play Andy Millman, an unlucky bit part actor desperate for fame.
Defrauding Ricky - Mar 05
The court case of a group of people who attempted to defraud TV star Ricky Gervais is set to begin. Kenneth Speight, Sharonjeet Snobber and three courier company employees face charges after they were discovered forging Ricky’s passport and siphoning money from his account. They had plotted to buy gold bullion worth around £350,000 with Ricky’s cash but, luckily, were caught in the act and arrested after taking £196,000 from the account. Reportedly the ruse fell apart when a gang member impersonated Ricky during a phone call to a bullion dealer who also happened to be a huge fan of The Office.

Ricky began to get a bit of recognition when he started appearing on The 11 O’Clock Show, where his unorthodox monlogues and strange interviewing technique began to attract attention. Ricky shot to wider fame with his excellent satirical comedy The Office which took Best New TV Comedy at the British Comedy Awards. Millions of luckless proles forced to work in dreary offices will be forever grateful to Ricky for finding the humour in their tragic plight. Thanks mate. Not to mention the sheer horror of working anywhere near Staines.
Since then Ricky has gone from strength to strength, releasing two successful comedy DVDs - ’Animals’ and ’Politics’; The Office has launched the careers of MacKenzie Crook (Pirates of the Caribbean) and Martin Freeman (forthcoming film The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy), and Ricky has giggled his way through interviews with buddy Jonathan Ross, and guesting on Xfm. New series Extras is already well in the pipeline. Not to mention those Golden Globes, the BAFTAs, and many other awards that must be proudly displayed on his mantlepiece.
