Mel B plans more kids - Nov 8 2008
Mel B is keen to have more kids with her new husband, movie producer Stephen Belafonte.

Asked by Newsweek if she would like to give daughters Phoenix and Angel another sibling, Scary Spice said: "Oh, yeah. Maybe another two. But not just yet, that's for sure. I'm too busy."

Mel is currently competing in US TV's Dancing With The Stars as well as rehearsing for the Spice Girls reunion tour, which kicks off on December 2.

"We're kind of the same, except we're 10 years older," said 32-year-old Mel of the girls. "We're more classy. Between the five of us, we've got seven kids."

Mel also revealed she and Stephen often take Phoenix, eight, and Angel, six months, over to David and Victoria Beckham's house for play dates with their kids.

However, the Spice Girl reportedly wouldn't reveal anything about visitation arrangements with Angel's father Eddie Murphy.

"I can't talk about that," she said. "The situation is what it is - and I've got a beautiful daughter."

She added: "I'm too happy to be depressed about anything. My life is so fruitful. I've got a great husband. Things are all good."

Mel B angry at Spice no-show? - Nov 1 2007

Mel B is reportedly furious that none of the other Spice Girls have been to see her perform on the US series Dancing With The Stars.

The girls are all currently in the US making preparations for their forthcoming tour - but none showed up to see her perform the rumba on Monday night.

"The shows means a lot to Mel B and it was a big disappointment that the other girls weren’t there," a source to the Daily Star.

"Her husband Stephen Belafonte has been backing her all the way, but it would have been nice for her to have her bandmates cheering her on too.

"They may have had their reasons for not being there - but it looks like a snub."

The girls did record a video message urging viewers to get behind Mel - and Emma joked: "We need her in - because then she’s not with us!"

Mel B: I don’t believe in diets - Oct 23 2007

Mel B has revealed that she has lost three stone since giving birth in April - but hasn’t been on a diet.

The Spice Girl - who is busy with the her band mates preparing for the group’s comeback tour - told Reveal magazine: "I put on four-and-a-half stone during my pregnancy, and I have lost three stone, but I don’t worry about the way i look.

"I do the two most important things to keep in shape - working out and eating healthily. I don’t believe in diets, I believe in listening to your body and being consistent."

The 32-year-old insisted she hasn’t gone to any drastic measures to lose the pounds.

"If you want a burger, have one, but balance it out the next day by eating salmon and vegetables."

She continued: "I work out every other day with my trainer, and I do long hikes rather than go to a sweaty gym.

"Losing weight was never my motivation. I just had the urge to work out again because I hadn’t started out during my pregnancy."

Mel B’s dance show nerves - Oct 15 2007

The Spice Girls’ reunion tour is kicking off in December, but Mel B admits it’s her current gig on US TV’s Dancing With The Stars which makes her more jittery.

"This, I’m nervous, while with that it’s fine," she smiles.

"With the Spice Girls, I’m with my four mates and it doesn’t matter if I do a wrong dance move or the wrong step out of time. It’s fine. Here, it’s all technical."

Biography

Mel B - better known as Scary Spice - was born in Leeds in 1975 to a white mother and an Afro-Caribbean father and says it was the racial abuse she suffered growing up which gave her the drive to succeed.

Mel moved to London in an attempt to break into the entertainment business. She answered an advert in entertainment publication The Stage, went to the audition and was selected because of her voice and good looks to be part of the Spice Girls who as we all know, went on to dominate the charts all over the world. Her up-front attitude and in-your-face style has won her a huge gay following.

Now more famous for her boob job (removed after leakage) and pierced tongue (removed when the hole got too big) than her musical talents, Mel’s post-Spice Girls career is in freefall and she’s now desperate to become a TV presenter before it splats. A former Spectacle Wearer of the Year who bites her toenails and detests all forms of salad, Mel says her ideal man would be ’zany’. Let’s hope she chooses more wisely than ex-husband Jimmy ’Gold Card’ Gulzar, her former backing singer who is said to have tearfully serenaded a close male friend with I Will Always Love You at their wedding. She is however the proud mother of baby daughter Phoenix Chi.

Mel B has boughgt her mum a home in Headingley, and to be even closer to her roots, Mel is considering buying herself a home in Alwoodley.
