However, Scary Spice doesn’t think she’s going to be incorporating her new found waltzing skills in the Spice tour.
"No! I’m doing it just for selfish reasons that’s all," she laughs.
"It would be funny, like ’drop, kick ball change.’ Everybody would be like ’what are you doing?’ Although Emma could do it because she did the English version."
While Mel is concentrating on doing her best on the show each week, she can’t wait to get back to spicing it up with the girls this winter.
"The ideas for the show are amazing," she admits.
"I can’t actually wait to get in it. It’s going to be a journey and a half."
Dancing With The Stars is set to air in the UK on UKTV tonight (Friday).
Mel becomes a lady - Oct 2 2007
Mel B has swapped life as Scary Spice to become Lady Spice in an episode of US Dancing With The Stars.
The Spice Girl, who is one of the favourites to win the dancing competition, had to take etiquette lessons to improve her posture, as she prepared to do the Quickstep.
"I want to show America I can be a lady. I’m going from Scary Spice to Lady Spice," Mel said before her performance, smiling.
And her efforts paid off, as the judges awarded her top marks. Both the judges from BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing - Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli - gave Mel eight out of a possible 10, as her husband Stephen Belafonte watched proudly from the audience.
Len said: "You held the floor beautifully," and Bruno added gushingly: "You have the twinkle-toes of Ginger Rogers. What a makeover. It worked!"
Mel’s response? "Keeping it all together was difficult, but I’m happy. I’m very very happy!"
Mel B ’happy’ with new hubby - Sept 24 2007
Melanie Brown has revealed she is "very happy" with married life and her new husband Stephen Belafonte.
"We’ve been through a very similar roller coaster with life, friends and experience," the 32-year-old Spice Girl says in the October issue of Jet magazine. "You know how someone makes themselves a better person every time you see them? That’s him.
"I have complete respect for someone that can take the best bits out of the crap bits and make it all blossom," she adds.
The singer also seems to be putting her row with former boyfriend and dad of her baby Angel Iris, behind her.
"I have nothing bad to say about him," she says. "For the guy that he was when I was with him. He was nice. Really nice. Since I’ve left, I don’t know that person so I can’t comment on that."
And she’s looking forward to her upcoming stint on the US TV version of Strictly Come Dancing, Dancing with The Stars, which begins next week.
"If I’m going to do something I’m going to get involved it in and engrossed in it," she says. "We’re just enjoying ourselves and having fun."

Mel moved to London in an attempt to break into the entertainment business. She answered an advert in entertainment publication The Stage, went to the audition and was selected because of her voice and good looks to be part of the Spice Girls who as we all know, went on to dominate the charts all over the world. Her up-front attitude and in-your-face style has won her a huge gay following.
Now more famous for her boob job (removed after leakage) and pierced tongue (removed when the hole got too big) than her musical talents, Mel’s post-Spice Girls career is in freefall and she’s now desperate to become a TV presenter before it splats. A former Spectacle Wearer of the Year who bites her toenails and detests all forms of salad, Mel says her ideal man would be ’zany’. Let’s hope she chooses more wisely than ex-husband Jimmy ’Gold Card’ Gulzar, her former backing singer who is said to have tearfully serenaded a close male friend with I Will Always Love You at their wedding. She is however the proud mother of baby daughter Phoenix Chi.
Mel B has boughgt her mum a home in Headingley, and to be even closer to her roots, Mel is considering buying herself a home in Alwoodley.
