Mel B
- Profession: Singer
- Place/Date of Birth: Leeds, 29 May 2020
- Associated with: Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Mel C, Spice Girls, Victoria Beckham
Mel enjoyed a whirlwind romance with the Beverly Hills Cop star before he announced in a TV interview that their relationship was over, adding that he wasn’t sure the baby was his.
Mel is now terrified of the Eddie fans who loiter by the house she shares with daughter Phoenix Chi, according to The Sun.
"She is extremely lonely in LA and her life is being made intolerable by Eddie’s fans camped outside," a friend told the paper.
"They shout insults and give her abuse all the time. The police have decided to place an officer outside to keep an eye on things."
The friend added: "So far Mel hasn’t been thinking about money - and reports that she is going to tell all on US TV are just nonsense.
"Mel just wants to hear from Eddie before she does anything so she can decide what to do about her future and that of their baby."
Mel plans to tell-all on TV? - Jan 5 2007
It seems that Mel B wants revenge on former lover Eddie Murphy - and now she plans to reveal the results of her unborn baby’s paternity test live on television.
The Hollywood actor, 45, dumped the former Spice Girl before Christmas on Dutch TV, demanding she has a DNA test to prove the child is his.
A source told The Daily Star: "When she does have the DNA test to prove Murphy is the father, she will spill the beans on American TV.
"And she’ll see how Eddie likes it when the boot is on the other foot.
"Her plans to do this have sparked a bidding war among US networks and they are all bending over backwards to hear her side of things.
"But at the moment Mel is focusing on carrying the child and looking after her seven-year-old, Phoenix Chi, before deciding which network and show she will choose to shame him on."
Mel B hires top lawyer? - Dec 21 2006
It seems Mel B wants a battle - she’s apparently hired a top Hollywood lawyer to fight Eddie Murphy in the courts.
The 31-year-old has apparently called in the services of Don Engel, who has previously worked with Cher, Fleetwood Mac and Meatloaf.
The former Scary Spice has vowed to get as much money as she can from the Tinseltown actor after he called off their wedding, dumped her, then publicly questioned the baby’s paternity on TV.
A friend told the Daily Mirror: "Mel is refusing to lie down and let Eddie walk all over her - and this is reflected in her choice of lawyer.
"She wants to hit him where it hurts... in the pocket and they don’t come much better than Don."
Sources have commented that she may be able to pocket up to £15 million in lifelong payments for their unborn kid.
A law source added: "Don’s services don’t come cheap but he is one of the best lawyers around. Most lawyers would relish taking on an A-List star and Don would surely be no exception."
Mel is determined to win and the friend concluded: "This is war - and if Eddie doesn’t know it, he will shortly."
Mel gets some Spice support - Dec 20 2006
It seems after all these years, the Spice Girls still stick together.
Former Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell has been comforting Mel B since her split from actor Eddie Murphy, according to the Daily Express.
Mel, 31, has apparently been dumped by the Beverly Hills Cop star after a whirlwind romance.
She claims to be carrying his baby but Eddie has publicly questioned whether he is the father.
Despite their turbulent friendship, it seems Geri, 34, who has a daughter, Bluebell, has offered former Scary Spice Mel a shoulder to cry.

Mel moved to London in an attempt to break into the entertainment business. She answered an advert in entertainment publication The Stage, went to the audition and was selected because of her voice and good looks to be part of the Spice Girls who as we all know, went on to dominate the charts all over the world. Her up-front attitude and in-your-face style has won her a huge gay following.
Now more famous for her boob job (removed after leakage) and pierced tongue (removed when the hole got too big) than her musical talents, Mel’s post-Spice Girls career is in freefall and she’s now desperate to become a TV presenter before it splats. A former Spectacle Wearer of the Year who bites her toenails and detests all forms of salad, Mel says her ideal man would be ’zany’. Let’s hope she chooses more wisely than ex-husband Jimmy ’Gold Card’ Gulzar, her former backing singer who is said to have tearfully serenaded a close male friend with I Will Always Love You at their wedding. She is however the proud mother of baby daughter Phoenix Chi.
Mel B has boughgt her mum a home in Headingley, and to be even closer to her roots, Mel is considering buying herself a home in Alwoodley.
