Mick’s satisfaction over name change - Jan 15 2007
Rolling Stone Sir Mick Jagger insisted on changing the name of a US comedy that featured a band of rogues trying to rip him off, a network chief said today.
ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson said the veteran rocker was happy to appear in the sitcom but he objected to the series name, which was Let’s Rob Mick Jagger.
ABC then changed the title of the show to the less colourful Knights Of Prosperity, McPherson said.
It is unclear whether the legendary singer, who turns 64 in July this year, will appear on the show again.
However, other stars, including singer Sting, will apparently be featured during the series.
"A lot of people have come out of the woodwork to be on the show," he said.
"It has become a hip New York comedy to be involved in."
Mick’s former loves unite for funeral - Nov 29 2006
Sir Mick Jagger’s ex-wives, former lovers and current girlfriend came together to support the Rolling Stones’ frontman at his father’s funeral, the Daily Mail reports.
Looking grief-stricken, 63-year-old Sir Mick was accompanied by his American girlfriend L’Wren Scott, 39, as he attended the funeral service near his home in Richmond, South-West London.
His ex-wives Jerry Hall and Bianca Jagger were also there to pay their respects, as well as his ex-girlfriend Marsha Hunt and three of his children Jade, Elizabeth and Georgia Jagger.
Sir Mick’s father Joe had died from pneumonia, aged 93, after a fall at his home in Surrey earlier this month.
He had been admitted to hospital, where his condition deteriorated after Sir Mick returned to the US for the Stones’ A Bigger Bang Tour.
Music legend Sir Bob Geldof and Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts also attended the service at St Mary’s College church in Teddington.
On onlooker told the paper: "Sir Mick seemed very sad as he looked at his father’s coffin. He seemed really grateful for the support of all the family members around him."
Sir Mick reportedly idolised his former PE teacher father, who designed a workout routine for Mick which kept him fit for his performances over the years.
His mother Eva died in 2000 and he had been very protective of his father ever since.
Mick Jagger is forgetting his lines on stage - Aug 29, 2020
Sir Mick Jagger is so worried about forgetting his lines on stage he has started using an autocue. The 63-year-old Rolling Stones frontman needs help remembering the words to his hit songs so he has started using scripts screened on monitors hidden in his speakers.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Mick’s not getting any younger and he doesn’t want to slip up. "He’s generally running all over the stage but if he gets a memory blank he can get back to the screen quickly. "He rarely needs it but it’s a back-up. It would be pretty embarrassing to forget the words to a song like ’Satisfaction’ when you’ve been singing it for 40 years."

With hits including Paint It Black, (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction, Jumpin Jack Flash and It’s Only Rock and Roll the Stones are arguably the greatest band on earth with more than four decades of hits somewhere between their snake hips and the things holding their trousers up.
Mick’s private life is probably as legendary, if not as successful, as his music career. From his well recorded dalliances with Marianne Faithfull and Sophie Dahl to marriages to Bianca Moreno de Macias and Jerry Hall plus rumours of flings with the likes of Uma Thurman, Carly Simon and even David Bowie and the surely almost record breaking seven children by four different women (including model Elizabeth and designer Jade) the rocker’s sex appeal is obviously quite something....it must be those famous lips.
