Rachel Weisz has become a mummy - June 2, 2020
’The Mummy’ star Rachel Weisz has become a mummy. The British actress - who won an Oscar earlier this year (06) for her supporting role in ’The Constant Gardener’ - gave birth to her son in New York.
The boy is the first child for Weisz and her fiance, ’Requiem For A Dream’ director Darren Aronofsky. Despite becoming a mum in the same year as winning an Academy Award, Weisz ruled out naming her first born after the gong. At the ceremony in March, she said: "We’ve narrowed it down to a few choices but Oscar isn’t among them."
In January, the 35-year-old actress - who started her career at the ADC Theatre in Cambridge, while studying at university in the city - revealed she was expecting after finding her ideal man. She told ’The Tonight Show’ host Jay Leno: "I found myself a sophisticated, educated American. He’s not an actor. "He’s travelled the world. He knows where Europe is, unlike a lot of Americans. He’s very cultured, but he’s all man."
Meanwhile, Weisz recently revealed that she didn’t develop cravings for bizarre foods during her pregnancy - despite being prepared to eat weird foods. She confessed: "I was expecting all the weird things. There’s this jar of pickles sitting in the fridge. It’s been there for months and she hasn’t even eaten one."
Rachel Weisz is the new face of Burberry - Mar 14, 2020
The Oscar-winning actress, who is currently seven months pregnant with her first child, will advertise the fashion house’s latest fragrance, London. Weisz posed for the shots last autumn and admits she is thrilled to be fronting the company’s new ad campaign - because her grandmother was a big fan of Burberry.
She said: "I’m British. I grew up with Burberry being the ultimate brand in chic, elegance and history. My granny, the chicest lady I ever knew, had a Burberry raincoat. Now it’s a cool and edgy fashion house, too. "I was thrilled to be asked to model. There was no hesitation."
Weisz, who looked radiant in a sleek black Narciso Rodriguez gown at the Oscars, admits she would also love to model the British fashion house’s clothes range. The 35-year-old beauty added in an interview with the Associated Press: "I love beautiful things and beautiful fashion. I like clothes that are beautifully cut that aren’t too fussy."
Weisz men - August 04
Rachel Weisz has told The Mirror how difficult she finds it to meet men.
"I have had some good relationships with men, but it’s not easy to find the right one." The actress complained. Previously linked with Neil Morrissey and Sam Mendes Rachel now lives with director Darren Aronofsky.it’s not all bad then Rachel?
Fountain of Weisz-dom - August 04
