Collymore bound over - May 04
Stan Collymore has been bound over after being arrested following an altercation with his wife.

The footballer accepted a bind over sum of £500 and agreed to keep the peace after facing four charges including threatening to kill estranged wife Estelle. The charges related to a dispute outside Estelle’s parents house which Collymore threatened to burn down. According to the ex England star the argument arose during a discussion about the couple’s daughter but he did not assault his wife.

Stan Trash - May 04
The Mirror has named Stan Collymore ’trash’ against David Beckham’s ’tramp’

The Mirror, who say that the difference is that a tramp carries off similar antics to trash but with more style, have rather oddly compared Stan Collymore’s dogging revelations with the news of David Beckham’s alleged affairs. This came after Uma Thurman branded Rebecca Loos a tramp at the Kill Bill 2 premier in London.

Stan the boy - 01/11/02

If beating her was not enough, Birmingham born Stan Collymore has been trying to sell a video of himself and Ulrika Jonsson having sex.

The video was made when they were dating a few years ago, whilst the pair were holidaying in Jamaica. Ulrika has been quick to take out an injunction preventing the former footballer from publishing the raunchy video.

The High Court then ruled that the videotape be destroyed. Collymore’s solicitor David Price told the court the tape no longer existed and the former Liverpool FC player was "not interested in contesting the matter".

Jonsson had described Stan as a "monster" in her recently published autobiography Honest.

Biography

Stan Collymore was born January 22, 1971, in Cannock Hardly needs any introduction as one of the most controversial figures of recent footballing times. His best top-flight form so far came during his spell at Nottingham Forest, earning him a multi-million pound move to Liverpool and then to Villa. His troubled career took a new downturn when he fell out with new Foxes boss Peter Taylor in September 2000.

He was immediately put on the transfer list after Stan refused to agree to being released from his contract. Bradford City then took a gamble on the striker by taking him on a free transfer in October 2000. He made 11 Premiership appearances for the Foxes. Collymore took another blow to his career after Bradford sacked the man who brought him to Valley Parade - Chris Hutchings. New boss Jim Jefferies had no intention of keeping him and he was told he was surplus to requirements.

That led to interest from several parties, but eventually it was Real Ovideo who came in to clinch his signature. The deal was originally to be worth £500,000, but Bradford waved the fee so the deal could go through before the Spanish transfer window closed at the end of January 2001.

Collymore made only a handful of additional sub appearances before he announced his retirement from the game aged only 30.

His private life made headlines when he very publicly assaulted his then girlfriend TV presenter Ulrika Johnsson, in a Paris Bar during the 1998 World Cup.

His ex-managers all agreed that he was a huge waste of talent.
