Wayne hits Colleen? - Apr 05
According to reports Colleen McLoughlin has been slapped by fiancé Wayne Rooney in a Cheshire night club. Onlookers say the pair were letting their hair down at Bransingamen’s night club in Alderley Edge, just a few miles away from their Cheshire home when they began arguing. Fellow revellers have told papers that Wayne ’grabbed her by the hair and slapped her,’ before she fled the club as he was held back by friends. Rumour has it the argument had something to do with those age old hooker rumours.
A Roon with a view - Feb 05
Wayne Rooney has never seemed to be the sharpest tool in the box at the best of times and now he’s the butt of many a joke in the Man U dressing room. The young footballer bought a plot of land and set things in motion for the building of a £4m mansion in the Cheshire village of Prestbury on the basis that the local pub was named after him. Or so he thought. What Wayne had thought to be the Admiral Rooney pub was actually named the Admiral Rodney after a famous naval commander. A Man U spokesman confirmed the story "Its absolutely true, poor old Wayne has taken a bit of stick over it. Its really hilarious."
Biography
Born on October 24 1985, Wayne Rooney made his footballing debut at just sixteen for his childhood club, Everton. He immediately made an impact with football fans all over the world and scooped the Sports Young Personality of the Year Award just a few months later.
During a well remembered game for Everton he sported a tshirt bearing the slogan ’once a blue, always a blue’. Just a short time later he demanded a transfer and was sold to Manchester United, where he remains. He has also made several appearances for the English national side however, his success was marred by his 2006 World Cup sending off alongside the broken foot which almost saw him miss out on the tournament.
Footballing talent aside Wayne is probably better known as Mr Colleen McLoughlin these days. He is engaged to his childhood sweetheart who has stuck by him through tabloid accusations of visits to prostitutes and gambling problems. He has also won libel damages from The Sun and News of the World after they claimed he had assaulted Colleen in a nightclub.
Rooney has recently signed the biggest sports publishing deal ever and will let us in on his secrets over the course of his career through the medium of ghost writer. However, even before his first book hits the shelves he has stumbled on controversy - Everton manager David Moyes is to sue his former wonderboy over claims surrounding his exit from the football club. It seems that wherever this Croxteth lad goes trouble is sure to follow...
