La Dolce Vita@Olympia, 16-19 March 2006
Event
La Dolce Vita brings a little bit of Italy to the
drizzly British capital this month. A showcase of the very best products coming
in from the sexiest sunniest country in Europe (sorry Spain) La Dolce Vita takes
place at Olympia.
For three days only the exhibition space will be
magically transformed in to Italy itself, with areas representing the different
regions, from Tuscany to Venice, Rome to Calabria. Visitors will be able to
really get in to the Italian mindset thanks to great food, fantastic shopping
and fabulous drinks, so be ready to take a magical journey through one of the
world's most well loved countries.
With real Italian style cafes in
Piazza Italia, this is the ideal area to relax and enjoy the real feel of an
Italian afternoon, with wine, coffee and great food and if it all inspires you
head down to Buangustaio to learn more about cooking Italian from the likes of
Aldo Zilli and Giorgio Locatelli during their demonstrations while the Scuola Di
Cucina is just the place to put the theory in to practice with many hands on
cookery classes. This year also sees the Merano International Wine Festival
debut here with wines to try and to buy.
Meanwhile the show also has a
great overview of Italian shopping - a chance to pick up some fabulous bits and
pieces, check out the latest in top Italian designs from cars to fashion,
furniture, beauty products and designer accessories (and let's face it this has
to be the best bit of Italy). And once you've shopped 'til you've dropped, eaten
enough to keep you full for a week and drunk a few too many Martinis you're
bound to want to live the lifestyle every day speak to estate agents and
relocation agents and get a real taste for life abroad.
Finally, if a
holiday is on the cards and you're feeling inspired spend a little time checking
out great package deals, listen to travel stories, pick a destination and learn
more about the various areas of your new favourite country.
