Synopsis
This carefully researched two-part documentary investigates the concept and practice of mass rape in Berlin and several other places in Germany in 1945, attempting to quantify it into reliable figures whilst also addressing its political, medical, psychological and family consequences. In the first part the women speak, often for the first time, about the experience of violence. In the second part it is the children born as a consequence of these rapes who speak.
