Management, The Havelock Tavern said on 15th March ... "I'd like you to consider making a correction to a review submitted by "Melissa" on 12/06/02, for the Havelock Tavern. She states that it "...takes them time to change their menu (seems about every 6 months)", whereas at the Havelock both lunch and dinner menus are created daily."

The beer is well kept 6X, Pedigree & Brakspears, and there's a fine wine list. Unlike some, the Havelock is happy to let you drink or eat anywhere, and doesn't bat an eyelid if you grab a big table and eat nothing. ""Began well about 3 years ago, but has now become a little bit 'chelsead' - not quite 'alice bands', but definitely Notting Hill trendies who can't afford Notting Hill! Great food although takes them time to change their menu (seems about every 6 months) and delicious fresh bread. Nice for a quiet pint with a couple of friends, not good for groups more than 6 or 7 and doesn't accept credit cards (v. irritating).""
