Following on from acclaimed “Hold yer Horses”, Piney and co head out on a rootin’ tootin’ UK tour.
Piney grew up in a charismatic Pentecostal household sheltered from secular music all her life. Learning music through the gospel and bluegrass leanings of the church and being classically trained from a very young age shaped the way she knew music. Breaking out from the shackles of her religious upbringing, as a teenager, Piney explored every genre, from heavy metal, pop, hippy stuff, hip hop, goth, and endured every phase only to become the electro-jazz-pop-riotgrrl-chanteuese that wrote her debut album Peakahokahoo (Truck Records 2004).
