No wedding for Brangelina - Mar 31 2008
It seems that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie did not tie the knot on Saturday.
There had been a flurry of reports stating they wed at the French Quarter Wedding Chapel, New Orleans, but the chapel's co-owner Lou Ann Talavera told E!News
"No, they did not come in here yesterday and no, they did not get married here," chapel's co-owner Lou Ann Talavera told E!News.
"I have no idea," Brad's representative Cindy Guagenti apparently added. "I have nothing to do with any of this."
A source close to couple told E!Online that the couple aren't even in New Orleans at the moment. Instead Brangelina, plus their four kids, are staying in Texas - where Brad is expected to be filming his new movie Tree Of Life until June.
And if Brad's comments in the October 2006 addition of Esquire magazine are anything to go by, it seems a wedding won't be on the cards until gay marriage is completely legalised in the US.
"Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able," he said at the time.
Brad’s miserable marriage - Mar 14 2008
Brad Pitt apparently confessed his marriage to Jennifer Aniston was in difficulty after just six weeks.
The Ocean’s Thirteen star - who split from the Friends star after five years of marriage and is reportedly now engaged to Angelina Jolie - told London-born comedian Omid Djalili he had quickly grown to despise his wife, according to The Daily Express.
Omid said: "I did a scene with him in the back of a taxi for a movie called Spy Game and it was only a few days after he had married Jennifer.
"I chatted for hours giving him advice about the three stages of marriage. Stage one is perfection/blind love.
"Stage two is the difficult stage because you will start to despise everything about her. But then if you can deal with that baggage you can possibly get to stage three - accept the baggage and move into a harmonious marriage.
"He said: ’Thanks Omid, I love that you have given me a framework for my marriage.’
"After six weeks he came up to me and said: ’I’m definitely in stage two, Omid!’ I probably made it go up in flames!"
The 42-year-old BBC comedy star avoided offering advice to Angelina Jolie when he met her on the set of the movie Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow.
He said: "I’d already messed up one Brad Pitt marriage."
Angelina is reportedly pregnant with Brad’s second child. The couple also have three adopted children.
Brangelina ’most influential couple’ - Feb 13 2008
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have topped a list for being the Hollywood couple with the greatest impact on popular culture.
According to the list by Forbes.com, the couple score high across the board because of their humanitarian lifestyle, ever-expanding brood and general likeability as a couple.
Peter Castro, deputy managing editor of People magazine, says their success is also due to the fact that they are more appealing as an entity than as individuals.
"Brad is pretty to look at, and he’s a fabulous actor, but he’s not the most scintillating person on his own," he explains.
"But hook him up with, arguably, the world’s most beautiful woman and then you have the makings of a really interesting tableau."
The Brits did pretty well on the list, with Kate Moss’ rocky pairing with Pete Doherty and the Beckhams scoring high.

Following a stint in classic 80s soap Dallas he was given a number of more grown up television series including 21 Jump Street and Thirtysomething. Brad’s first staring role came in the form of Dark Side of the Sun, however during filming in Yugoslavia war broke out and it remained unreleased for several years. Now gaining regular film work the actor found himself suddenly noticed by audiences, albeit not for his acting skills, thanks for a bit part in Geena Davis movie Thelma and Louise. Cool World, A River Runs Through It and Kalifornia (alongside then girlfriend Juliette Lewis) followed and shot Pitt to worldwide fame.
From the mid-90s the small town boy from Oklahoma found himself gaining acclaim as an actor and recognition as a heartthrob too. Interview With a Vampire, Legends of the Fall and Se7en allowed him to flex acting muscle and before long he was nominated for an Academy Award (Best Supporting Actor for his role in Twelve Monkeys). Able to turn his hand to just about any subject matter he accepted parts in romance Meet Joe Black, Brit-flick Snatch and the bizarre Fight Club - which ensured Brad, who was becoming of increasing interest to the tabloid press, remained a force to be reckoned with in the acting world.
It was around this time that Pitt began dating clean cut television star Jennifer Aniston. Previously engaged to Gwyneth Paltrow the actor was no stranger to being one half of a high profile couple, however the Aniston-Pitt relationship saw public interest reach new heights. The pair wed in 2000, releasing just one image from the day, to much disappointment, but securing their position as Hollywood’s most perfect wedded pair. Despite talk of Brad turning his hand to architecture (a long-standing interest) and interior design to create a nursery in the Aniston-Pitt marital home, the creation of a production company, Plan B, together and even a bit part in Jennifer’s sitcom, Friends, the marriage wasn’t to last.
As Brad, now with blockbuster films such as Troy and Ocean’s Eleven under his belt, filmed his latest picture, Mr and Mrs Smith with notorious actress Angelina Jolie rumours were rife of an affair. The Aniston-Pitt marriage was reportedly already in trouble but it appeared to take just one look at Jolie’s infamous lips to send Brad running for the divorce lawyer. The rest is well-worn gossip page fodder.
In 2006 it was confirmed that Brad had adopted Angelina’s son Maddox as well as her new daughter Zahara. In the same year Angelina gave birth to the couple’s biological daughter Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt. They have since adopted another son, Pax, from Vietnam. The family divide their time between LA and New Orleans, where they are involved in the continuing effort to rebuild the city following Hurricane Katrina.
