Britney Spears
- Profession: Singer
- Place/Date of Birth: McComb, Mississippi, United States, 02 December 2020
The friend adds that Lynne "has cried her heart out over the trouble between her and Britney".
Photographers caught the superstar walking onto the set of her little sister’s television show Zoey 101 and having a confrontation with her mother, before leaving.
The rift between the pair appears to have been building for some time, although when asked what the papers were, Lynne replied: "It’s a love letter. She did not serve me."
Britney has also been insisting she never had a drug or alcohol problem, and was pressurised into going to rehab by her mother, manager (who she’s since sacked) and K-Fed, according to TMZ.com.
No doubt the details of the papers will soon be made available. After all, nothing to do with Britney Spears stays secret for long.
Britney’s new buddy - June 25 2007
Britney Spears may be without a man at the moment, but that doesn’t mean she’ll be lacking company - the singer has apparently bought a parakeet.
The Toxic babe was recently spotted buying one of the birds at a Los Angeles pet store.
Dressed in what look like pyjama shorts and moon boots, with a bandanna and long wavy blonde hair, Brit and a friend picked up the bird from Petco and escorted it from the shop under a pink flowery sheet.
There’s no word on whether the parakeet is for the star, or her chum. But Brit certainly looked chuffed when she was snapped on the way to the parking lot.
Perhaps the bird will be groomed to sing back up on the star’s forthcoming comeback album, which is currently being put together in top secret.
Or perhaps after a quickie Las Vegas marriage and a divorce from Kevin Federline, Brit simply prefers the company of animals to the company of men these days.
Britney’s bald anger - June 20 2007
Britney is not happy after a Florida radio station used pictures of her bald noggin to plug one of their shows, it seems.
The star’s lawyers sent a letter to Clear Channel Communications Inc, who own WLFZ FM, saying that they are were guilty of "offensive, unauthorised commercial exploitation" of the singer, in their ads for The MJ Morning Show.
The billboards showed Britney and host Todd Schnitt alongside slogans like "Shock Therapy" and "Total But Jobs".
As a result of the threatened legal action, the posters were taken down.
However, the DJ was angry at the decision, telling a local newspaper: "Clear Channel has removed the billboards and I’m not happy with that."
There’s been no official comment from the Britney about her bald head’s unscheduled appearances.
The star is still staying pretty low-key and continuing to work on her comeback album, as well as performing the odd intimate gig.
Britney: I hit rock bottom - May 30 2007
Britney Spears says she "hit rock bottom" in a message posted on her website about the end of her marriage.
Britney calls rehab "a very humbling place" and denies it was alcohol or depression that sent her there.
"I truly hit rock bottom," the 25-year-old pop star writes. "I was like a bad kid running around with ADD," referring to attention deficit disorder.
She completed a month-long stay at a luxury Malibu rehab centre in March after a series of run-ins with the paps that included a stop at a San Fernando Valley hair salon where she was caught on video hacking off her own locks. Other photos splashed across the internet showed Britney out partying wearing nothing underneath her short skirts.

During the early years of her career Britney made millions thanks to merchandising deals and successful hits. But she faced controversy throughout with rumours of plastic surgery and feuds with other stars. Her third album, which saw her take a sexier and more adult turn, was a relative disappointment while her critically panned but box office friendly debut movie Crossroads was a fleeting highlight. Meanwhile her long relationship with Justin Timberlake came to an end in 2002 amid claims that her reputation as a virgin was false and in fact that she had cheated on the N*Sync star?Britney responded by sharing a kiss with idol Madonna on stage at the MTV Awards ? an act which saw the pair criticized more than admired.
The kiss signaled the end of Britney?s pop-childhood and with the release of In The Zone and the hit single Toxic she began building a new fanbase. A drunken Las Vegas wedding to childhood friend Jason Alexander ended in annulment after just fifty five hours but, rather than concentrate on her career, Britney continued leaning on the lovelife self destruct button. She, despite advice to the contrary, married dancer, aspiring rapper and all round rat-faced bad boy Kevin Federline in a trailer trash wedding in 2004 and within months announced she was pregnant.
Having given birth to son, Sean Preston, Britney seems to have put her career on hold despite the success of a greatest hits album and the launch of her fragrance, Curious. Meanwhile rumours persist about the state of her marriage to Federline with the press accusing him of taking no interest in his wife and son and of cheating on the singing star.
