But, while Justin himself was on stage across town at his Madison Square Gardens gig, Britney was reportedly none too pleased when the DJ decided to spin a Timberlake track.
According to a witness, she asked him to change the record.
The mother-of-two reportedly called it a night at around 4am, via a stop-off at McDonald’s.
K-Fed and Brit stay joint parents - Feb 3 2007
Britney Spears and ex Kevin Federline have agreed to continue sharing custody of their two sons Sean and Jayden.
The couple had already signed to do so for the month of January and now Kevin’s lawyer says the same deal will be carried on through February.
The agreement is only temporary. On top of a large demand for spousal support, K-Fed has also sought sole custody of the pair’s kids.
However, cynics say that is a usual power play in an expensive break-up, since it normally involves more money.
For his part, Kevin’s ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson, with whom he has two other children, says the aspiring rapper is the consummate father.
The new deal will stay the same as that made in January, which dictates Sean and Jayden live with their mother and their dad gets to visit them in her home for four hours, three times a week.
Britney must have a good set of nannies - she is rarely not seen out partying these days.
Only last week, she and new boyfriend Isaac Cohen visited the Chateau Marmont with a group of friends for several drinks.
Let’s hope the babies were tucked up in bed.
Britney in Doctor Who? - Jan 26 2007
It seems Britney Spears could be the next famous star to feature in an episode of Doctor Who.
The show’s writer Russell T Davies is apparently keen to get the 25-year-old pop singer in the successful sci-fi series.
"I’m not sure if she’ll come to Cardiff where the show is shot so I’m nagging the BBC to fund a Hollywood special," he is quoted by the Daily Star as saying.
"I’d love Britney to do it - it would be so much fun," he added.
Brit would play a race of cloned creatures who all look identical, reports the paper.
The appearance could revive the pop princess’ career, which has been dogged with problems recently.
Yesterday it was reported that Brit actor Sir Derek Jacobi would play a man who saves Earth in the new series of Doctor Who.
The third series, which stars 35-year-old David Tennant as the Doctor, starts in the spring.
Britney denies romance - Jan 23 2007
It looks like Britney Spears’s rumoured relationship with model Isaac Cohen may be over already, after the pop princess told photographers that they’re "not together".
Snappers for photo agency X17 captured footage of the singer denying she was in a relationship with Isaac when she made a pit-stop at Santa Monica’s Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf cafe.
Despite having been photographed getting cosy with the 25-year-old model in LA and Las Vegas over the past couple of weeks, Britney told the throng of photographers: "Me and Isaac are not together by the way."
Asked by the lens-men whether it was "really over", Britney, 25, reportedly replied: "Yes."
Earlier in the day, the mum-of-two was caught on camera giggling with two female companions as she flicked through a copy of Us Weekly magazine bearing the cover story "Brit’s New Man".

During the early years of her career Britney made millions thanks to merchandising deals and successful hits. But she faced controversy throughout with rumours of plastic surgery and feuds with other stars. Her third album, which saw her take a sexier and more adult turn, was a relative disappointment while her critically panned but box office friendly debut movie Crossroads was a fleeting highlight. Meanwhile her long relationship with Justin Timberlake came to an end in 2002 amid claims that her reputation as a virgin was false and in fact that she had cheated on the N*Sync star?Britney responded by sharing a kiss with idol Madonna on stage at the MTV Awards ? an act which saw the pair criticized more than admired.
The kiss signaled the end of Britney?s pop-childhood and with the release of In The Zone and the hit single Toxic she began building a new fanbase. A drunken Las Vegas wedding to childhood friend Jason Alexander ended in annulment after just fifty five hours but, rather than concentrate on her career, Britney continued leaning on the lovelife self destruct button. She, despite advice to the contrary, married dancer, aspiring rapper and all round rat-faced bad boy Kevin Federline in a trailer trash wedding in 2004 and within months announced she was pregnant.
Having given birth to son, Sean Preston, Britney seems to have put her career on hold despite the success of a greatest hits album and the launch of her fragrance, Curious. Meanwhile rumours persist about the state of her marriage to Federline with the press accusing him of taking no interest in his wife and son and of cheating on the singing star.
