Earlier this week, a judge ordered the 25-year-old singer to temporarily hand over custody of her two sons to ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Another custody hearing is scheduled for October 26.
Britney back in court in custody battle - Oct 4 2007
Britney Spears’s custody battle is set to go back to court after the troubled singer handed over her two children to her ex-husband.
Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner Scott Gordon will hold the hearing at 1.30pm local time (9.30pm BST) today (Wednesday) after ordering that Britney must give physical custody of Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one, to Kevin Federline, 29, "until further order of the court".
US reports said the decision, which was made behind closed doors, was made because Britney failed to comply with three requirements of the court.
She did not get a California driver’s licence, required by anyone who has been a state resident for more than 10 days; she did not allow a custody evaluator to conduct psychological evaluations; and she was seen drinking within 12 hours of supervising the children, showbiz website TMZ reported.
The website also said that the 25-year-old applied for a California driver’s licence in Van Nuys after Monday’s hearing.
A spokesman for the California Department of Motor Vehicles told showbiz website People.com that Britney has now been issued an interim licence.
Mike Marando said: "She has fulfilled her requirements for a California driver’s licence.
"Ms Spears actually took and passed a written test in April.
"She was fingerprinted and photographed yesterday. She will be issued a formal licence in the mail soon."
Brit accused of missing drug and drink test - Oct 3 2007
Britney Spears temporarily lost custody of her children because she couldn’t provide a California driver’s licence and was accused of not taking a random drug and alcohol test, according to US reports.
A judge ruled yesterday (Monday) the singer must hand over Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one to ex-husband Kevin Federline tomorrow "until further order of the court".
LA Superior Court commissioner Scott Gordon held the hearing behind closed doors and didn’t release the reasons for his decision.
But Britney’s lawyer Sorrell Trope told People.com: "We weren’t able to prove compliance with what the judge ordered.
"Specifically, the judge ordered that by 10am (Monday) morning, both parties show valid California driving licences. I’ve been unable to produce evidence of that."
The website also reported that the 25-year-old applied for a California driver’s licence in Van Nuys following yesterday’s hearing.
Mr Trope told the website there was also "a claim by Mr Federline’s attorney that she had not complied with a previous order the court had made - before I came on board (as lawyer) - about having a random drug and alcohol test."
He said there was "no evidence" that she failed a test, but said the court viewed a failure to take one as the same as not passing one.
The couple’s children will now remain with Federline, 29, until a further court order is issued.
The next hearing will be held tomorrow (Wednesday).
Last month, the same judge said Britney engaged in "habitual, frequent and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol" and ordered her to undergo random drug and alcohol testing twice a week as part of her custody dispute.

During the early years of her career Britney made millions thanks to merchandising deals and successful hits. But she faced controversy throughout with rumours of plastic surgery and feuds with other stars. Her third album, which saw her take a sexier and more adult turn, was a relative disappointment while her critically panned but box office friendly debut movie Crossroads was a fleeting highlight. Meanwhile her long relationship with Justin Timberlake came to an end in 2002 amid claims that her reputation as a virgin was false and in fact that she had cheated on the N*Sync star?Britney responded by sharing a kiss with idol Madonna on stage at the MTV Awards ? an act which saw the pair criticized more than admired.
The kiss signaled the end of Britney?s pop-childhood and with the release of In The Zone and the hit single Toxic she began building a new fanbase. A drunken Las Vegas wedding to childhood friend Jason Alexander ended in annulment after just fifty five hours but, rather than concentrate on her career, Britney continued leaning on the lovelife self destruct button. She, despite advice to the contrary, married dancer, aspiring rapper and all round rat-faced bad boy Kevin Federline in a trailer trash wedding in 2004 and within months announced she was pregnant.
Having given birth to son, Sean Preston, Britney seems to have put her career on hold despite the success of a greatest hits album and the launch of her fragrance, Curious. Meanwhile rumours persist about the state of her marriage to Federline with the press accusing him of taking no interest in his wife and son and of cheating on the singing star.
