Catherine Zeta Jones has been named Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her role in Chicago...
The Welsh pregnant actress collected the Oscar for her portrayal of ruthless murderess Velma Kelly. She dedicated the Oscar to husband Michael Douglas, son Dylan and her hometown of Swansea.
She said: "To everybody in Swansea, South Wales - I love you. To my son Dylan watching at home, and to my husband who I love, I share this award with you."

Being eight and a half months pregnant will not stop Catherine from performing a song and a dance on stage at the Oscars.
She is going to perform a duet with co-star Queen Latifah, which is normally enough to get the attention from the audience. However, there is the added drama of possibly an early labour for Catherine - as the extra activity may bring on the baby! There will be a full medical crew waiting in the wings, just in case.
Catherine is expected to scoop Best Supporting Actress at the glittering awards ceremony for her role as Velma Kelly in Chicago.

Michael Douglas has splashed out ?12.000 on an advert in film magazine Variety congratulating his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones on her "hard work" in Chicago...
Catherine is tipped to win a Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars on 23 March. The ad reads: "Dear Catherine/Mom, we know how hard you worked and we know what a joy it turned out to be. We love you, Michael and Dylan."

Oi Oi Oi! Catherine Zeta Jones did not forget her Welsh heritage when she collected her Award at The BAFTA’s.
She won the Best Supporting Actress award at The BAFTA’s for her performance as Velma Kelly in Chicago. Catherine thrilled the audience with her acceptance speech - especially when she bellowed ’Oggie oggie oggie - oi oi oi! at the surprised audience!
Catherine said after the ceremony ’We lost the rugby so it’s to give the Welsh something to smile about!’ She also thanked her ’wonderful’ husband - and Michael Douglas was seen getting teary eyed in the audience. He later said how proud he was of his wife "I’m so elated, I can’t tell you - I saw how much effort Catherine put into Chicago. I am really proud of her." Ahh.....!

Catherine has bagged herself another award for her role as murderess Velma Kelly in the musical Chicago - best supporting actress of the year!
The award is from the US ShoWest 2003, and is due to be presented at a gala ceremony to close the trade show in Las Vegas on March 6.

Catherine Zeta Jones is reportedly bringing out a new range of designer babywear.
The London Evening Standard says she has teamed up with former Welsh rugby player Ray Williams to create the range, called Zeta. It is believed Zeta bibs and baby-grows will be launched to coincide with the birth of her second baby in March. She already has a son Dylan, two, with husband Michael Douglas.

She went on to appear in numerous little noticed films and series’, including a made for TV film, Titanic, and comic book movie The Phantom, alongside Billy Zane. It was around this time that she was picked to star with Antonio Banderas in The Mask of Zorro and Sean Connery in Entrapment. These films would make Catherine in to the Hollywood star we know today.
In 2000 she starred in Stephen Soderburgh’s Traffic with her future husband Michael Douglas. When they married later that year there was much critcism of the age difference (Douglas being 25 years her senior), however their marriage continues to go from strength to strength and they now have two children, Dylan (born in 2000) and Cerys (born in 2003).
Between babies and awards ceremonies CZJ has made a real name for herself as a leading lady in films such as The Terminal, Ocean’s Eleven and America’s Sweethearts. She has also won an Oscar for her all-singing, all-dancing part in musical Chicago whilst also working as spokeswoman for Elizabeth Arden.
