It seems I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! contestant David Gest is on the look out for love - and says he thinks British women are "the most beautiful in the world".

The music producer, who famously wed Liza Minnelli, told First magazine: "I love their sense of humour and I find them very warm. I find them more articulate than any other nationality and I just love the accent."

The 53-year-old adds that he would like to find someone to spend Christmas with and he is not looking for a famous girlfriend.

"It’s my Christmas and I wish to find a British woman to settle down with," he added.

"I’m not looking for a showbiz marriage - I’ve had that. I’m looking for a slice of normality now. Someone to put me in my place, but support my lunacy.

"I’d like to meet someone in their 30s or 40s who wants to spend time with a loving person - me. I would trade my life for someone who’s been married to the same woman for 35 years.

"I know I’m no sex symbol but I’m very romantic."

It seems I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! star David Gest’s snoring may become a new ringtone.

His best friend Tito Jackson, brother of music legend Michael, now wants to record the painful noise and market it as a worldwide ringtone hit.

"Well, why not? Everybody’s talking about his snoring. And let’s face it, you would never miss a call if his snoring was on your mobile," Tito told the Daily Star.

David, who came fourth in the hit show, was unashamed of the noise, laughing: "I snore. I can’t help it."

After their first night on site Toby told him: "I thought there was a wild animal walking into camp."

His campmates tried everything to make him stop - including poking him with a stick.

Winner Matt Willis moaned: "David has snoring Tourette’s - it’s not like he snores all the time, but all of a sudden he has an outburst."

American television producer David Gest became the ninth celebrity to be evicted from I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, in the second part of a double eviction.

Myleene Klass, Jason Donovan and Matt Willis will now go head to head in the ITV show’s final today.

Learning the result of the public vote, David told the group: "It’s good. I had a great time."

Jason, who has frequently talked about his friendship with Gest, said: "That’s shocked me."

Speaking in his post-eviction interview with presenter Ant and Dec, David said: "It was a great ride. It just was fun. I loved every day of it."
