Gwynnie Blames Brad For Paps - Aug 20 2007
Gwyneth Paltrow has blamed her former fiance Brad Pitt and his partner Angelina Jolie for attracting paparazzi to Chicago.
The A-lister has previously said that one of the nice things about visiting the US city usually was the absence of star-hunting photographers.
But it was a different story when the actress arrived in Chicago at the same time as Brangelina and their children.
Gwynnie, who is married to Coldplay's Chris Martin, was there to promote perfume at a Macy's store, and stayed at The Peninsula Chicago, where the Pitt-Jolie family is living while Angelina films the movie Wanted.
And their presence has meant more celebrity photographers than usual, announced Brad's Oscar-winning ex. The couple were engaged for less than a year before splitting in 1997.
"When Brad and Angelina leave, won't they [paparazzi] go, too?" the 34-year-old said. "Don't you think they sort of blow in and out with the celebs?"
Gwyn ’too skinny’ for Marlene role - Mar 16 2007
Gwyneth Paltrow has been slated as "too thin" to play screen legend Marlene Dietrich - by the daughter of the shapely German actress.
Marlene’s only child Maria Riva apparently said the Oscar winner would have to "put on some pounds" before playing her mum, according to the Daily Express.
"There wasn’t a star in Hollywood back in Marlene Dietrich’s era that was as thin as today’s actresses," she told the paper.
And it’s not just Maria who has an issue with Gwyneth’s size - Marlene’s old friend and actress Grace Bradley Boyd, 94, said studios would not have signed "skinny women" in their day.
"Marlene, Joan Crawford, Paulette Goddard - all of us were shapely. We were what men wanted to see - and gorgeous with it. I think Gwyneth will need some helpings of good old apple pie and plenty of ice-cream!"
But the actress clearly feels she is right to play Marlene, who died in 1992.
"I really want to be Marlene and I will also produce the film. I hope we’ll start shooting in a year or so," she said.
Bump-watch spots another pregnant star? - Mar 14 2007
The normally svelte Gwyneth Paltrow has become the subject of pregnancy speculation after being pictured with a rounder than normal tummy.
The actress could be expecting her third child with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin - if the photos in Star magazine aren’t simply down to a big lunch.
The actress recently told US chat show host Oprah Winfrey how much she loved taking time off work to look after 11-month-old Moses and his sister Apple, two.
"I’ve been at home being a housewife - which is amazing and I’ve loved every minute of it - but it’s definitely the hardest job!" she said.
"It’s 24 hours a day, seven days a week and they want you present and real and connected and there. But it has been the best three years of my life."
Gwyneth famously denied her previous two pregnancies until she was past the important 12-week stage.
The actress, who sported a tummy-concealing ruched dress to the Oscars, is back at work at the moment, working on the film Dirty Tricks.
Gwynnie’s ready for work - Feb 19 2007
Gwyneth Paltrow has been enjoying life at home - but she admits she’s now ready to get back to work.

The Paltrows moved to Manhattan, New York when Gwyneth was 11 years old, where she would watch her Tony award-winning mother perform at theatre festivals, inspiring the young Gwyneth to become an actress herself, an ambition which resulted in a starring role in a production of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
Gwyneth returned to Los Angeles in order to attend the University of California in Santa Barbara as an art history major. While her first film role was in the 1991 film Shout, with John Travolta, her big break came along when she went out one night with her father and family friends Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw.
Big league director Spielberg was in the process of casting for his film Hook and that night, he offered Gwyneth the role of Wendy, which she instantly accepted. After her role in Hook, also starring Robin Williams and Julia Roberts, she was cast as the lead in the 1992 mini-series Cruel Doubt.
The budding actress’ resume was soon filling up, with roles in Malice, Flesh and Bone, Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle, Jefferson in Paris, and Moonlight and Valentino. Although audiences were beginning to take notice of Gwyneth, the film that threw her into the spotlight was her role as Brad Pitt’s girlfriend in the thriller Seven, which is where the highly photogenic couple met and fell in love. For a while anyway.
Following this she worked on films including The Pallbearer, Great Expectations, Sliding Doors and A Perfect Murder, although her star status was really confirmed when she accepted the Best Actress Oscar in (some say fake) floods of tears.
After a brief hiatus, Gwyneth returned to the big-screen in the beautifully shot The Talented Mr. Ripley, as Jude Law’s good-hearted girlfriend. And since has filmed Shallow Hal, Sylvia and View From The Top. Following a move to swanky Belgravia where she spends time drinking herbal tea, following a macrobiotic diet and doing Yoga with best mates Madonna and Stella McCartney, Gwynnie fell in love with Coldplay singer Chris Martin who she secretly married late in 2003 while preganant with his baby, which is due this summer.
