James fears Scots ladies? - April 17 2007
James Morrison has reportedly revealed that he finds Scottish women the most terrifying of all his fans - and was really scared of them when he toured there earlier this year.
The singer told The Sun: "They are totally lethal. I nearly got raped. It was full on, mental. They have some big women in Scotland and when they set their sights on a target they go for it. I was the target."
The 22-year-old, who was born in Rugby, Warwickshire, has accrued a massive fan base since he debuted his single You Give Me Something last year - the single went on to become a big hit in Europe, Australia and Japan.
His debut album, Undiscovered, went straight to No 1 in the UK and has sold more than two million copies worldwide, and in February he picked up the Best British Male solo Artist gong at the Brit Awards.
But perhaps fans shouldn't expect another Scottish tour any time soon...

The 22-year-old singer-songwriter beat comparative veterans Jarvis Cocker and Thom Yorke to the top spot.
"I really, really didn’t expect this. I did try to think of a speech but I didn’t want to pre-empt losing. I’d just like to say I can’t believe I’m here. This one’s for every singer-songwriter still playing in pubs," he said.
James rocketed to the top of the music world despite only getting a U in his music A-Level.
He was also rejected by BBC talent show Fame Academy, but the unassuming star, who wrote his own music on his debut album, Undiscovered, was soon snapped up by Polydor.
His album reached No 1 last summer while his first single, You Give Me Something, was an instant hit.
James’ voice has earned him comparisons with legends like Stevie Wonder and Otis Redding.
He attributes his gravelly voice to the whooping cough he suffered from just after he was born.
He has said: "I coughed so much I nearly died. The doctors said I would be left brain-damaged. But what I actually got left with was this husky voice."
James: I may as well be skint - Jan 22 2007
It seems he’s a hit with his fans, but despite selling 1.5 million copies of his album, James Morrison says he’s almost broke.
The 22-year-old told the Daily Mirror he was still waiting to reap the cash from the sales of his top-selling album, Undiscovered.
He is quoted as saying: "I’m not totally skint but I may as well be. It takes about two years for royalty to come. Other than the coat I just bought I can’t afford anything else.
"I went on holiday at Christmas but flew economy. I had a nightmare because the woman behind me was claustrophobic and wouldn’t let me recline my seat. I can’t wait to go first class."
However, the singer, who is battling it out for Best Male with Jarvis Cocker at next month’s Brit Awards, said the past year had "exceeded his wildest dreams" and his relationship with his girlfriend Jill is still going strong.
"It’s difficult being on tour but she understands and everything is great," he said.

James’ debut single, You Give Me Something reached number five in the British charts and also found success on the continent, hitting number two in Holland. His debut album, meanwhile, garnered barely a bad review. Undiscovered sold over a million copies and made number one in the album charts.
So popular was James at 2006’s V Festival that he was forced to take his set to the main stage after the tent he was due to play in became overcrowded. He has now been nominated for three BRIT Awards.
