What’s more, she reportedly feels it might provide her with some creative juices.
A source tells the mag: "She feels she needs a boost in her life and she can meet all kinds of people there. And she can meet men."
The star is currently single, after breaking up with boyfriend Vince Vaughn.
Ironically, he also tried to convince her to move out of LA, back to his hometown of Chicago.
The couple were seen enjoying themselves there, but after the break-up, she headed back to the West Coast.
Earlier this month, Jen checked out a swanky apartment block in NYC while in the city on business. Adds the source: "she’s revisiting the Broadway idea", suggesting Jen might be thinking about trying to up her acting cred with a theatrical stint.
Jen’s clean living - Mar 8 2007
Friends actress Jennifer Aniston is apparently turning over a new leaf by trying to stop smoking and cutting down on coffee.
Instead of turning to nicotine patches or chewing gum, the star is relying on yoga to help her get through any rough times.
All was revealed on the set of Courteney Cox’s new TV show Dirt, where Jen was making a special guest appearance.
Actress Laura Allen, who is in the series, told American magazine Us Weekly: "Jen was doing a total cleansing.
"Between takes, it would have been tempting to go outside and have a cigarette. Instead, Jen was clinging to Courteney. She said how hard it was."
And it seems coffee and cigarettes weren’t the only thing Jennifer was hankering for on set.
Laura says Jen was struggling with the clean living, saying: "I had a Diet Coke, and she was really jonesing for it."
Much has been made of the star’s appearance in Dirt’s season finale, where she and real life best friend Courteney kiss.
Courteney has been downplaying their on-screen snog, telling entertainment programme Access Hollywood; "There is no tongue and it is really not a big deal to kiss."
Jen has new man? - Feb 27 2007
Jennifer Aniston may have a new man in her life - but this time he’s not a Hollywood heartthrob.
The Friends star has been enjoying quiet dates with a cameraman who works on Courteney Cox’s TV show, Dirt, according to the Daily Express.
It seems that Jen has been dating the cameraman, called Mike, in secret since she met him when she guest-starred on Courteney’s show.
"She introduced herself and they started chatting," a source told the paper. "The next day he asked Jen out for dinner. They’ve been out several times since then, including once to a bowling alley and a dinner date at Marix, one of her favourite LA restaurants. She really likes him."
Jen, 38, has had a couple of very public heartbreaks, first when she split from husband Brad Pitt in January 2005, and more recently when her relationship with The Break-Up co-star Vince Vaughn ended.
With Brad and Vince as exes, Jen’s new man has a lot to live up to
Jen speaks out over nose job Feb 1 - 2007
Jennifer Aniston has spoken out on the rumours surrounding her recent nose job, as well as the ones that she has had more plastic surgery.
Talking to People magazine, she says: "It’s funny. I had a [deviated septum] fixed - best thing I ever did. I slept like a baby for the first time in years. As far as all the other [rumours], as boring as it sounds, it’s still mine. All of it. Still mine."
The star also spills the beans on her upcoming guest spot on best friend Courteney Cox’s tabloid journalism show, Dirt.

Recognised as a talented comedy actress, she began working on the Howard Stern Radio Show in the 80’s and 90’s, before moving to Hollywood and launching a career in television. There were several false starts as shows were cancelled, and her appearance in the horror movie ’Leprechaun’ attracted so much critical derision that she seriously considered giving up acting.
Cue Friends, for which she auditioned in 1994. The producers originally wanted her to audition for the role of Monica Geller, but she managed to persuade them that her talents would be far better used in the role of Rachel Green. She ended up playing the character for ten years, between 1994 and 2004. So successful was the show and so well loved was her character that during the final three seasons she commanded a fee of one million dollars per episode. The critics, once cruel, were now united in praise, and she was nominated five times for an Emmy award including Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
Since then she has been in several major Hollywood features, although she has not yet made a hit film.
Aniston’s acting talents rest upon an "everygirl" persona. This perhaps explains why the media has always taken an interest in her personal life. She previously dated Adam Duritz and actor Tate Donovan before beginning a long-term relationship with Brad Pitt. They were married in 2000. The pair divorced in spectacular fashion in 2005, with many in the press suspecting infidelity on Pitt’s part and Aniston’s refusal to have children as causes (She has since strongly denied that she doesn’t want children). She has remained tight lipped about her personal life ever since.
