Jen to adopt? - Jan 16 2007
It seems Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie have something else in common - apparently Jen is keen to adopt a baby in the wake of her latest relationship split with Vince Vaughn.
The Friends actress was outraged when rumours surfaced that her marriage to Brad ended because of her refusal to have kids, and now wants to fulfil her ambition of becoming a mum.
According to Grazia magazine, the 37-year-old has spent the last five weeks instructing lawyers to approach different adoption agencies - and sources claim she is looking for a newborn.
A friend said: "Jen has thrown herself into adopting and wants it to happen right away. She toyed with the idea while she was with Vince but began looking again in December after they split.
"She turned to friends for advice, including Oprah Winfrey, who advised her to adopt an African child, but she settled on an American baby."
A relative added the the actress is keen to adopt in the US rather than abroad, saying: "Jennifer has talked to various agencies around the world, but she feels more comfortable adopting domestically."
Jen and Vince still friends - Jan 3 2007
They may have gone their separate ways, but it looks like Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn’s split was amicable, with US reports claiming the actor dropped in on Jen on Christmas Eve.
The Wedding Crashers star popped round to Jen’s Hollywood Hills home armed with a Christmas present, according to Us Weekly magazine.
"It was no big deal, they’re still friends," a source told the magazine.
But there doesn’t appear to be any whiff of the A-list twosome getting back together, as the pair apparently celebrated New Year’s Eve thousands of miles apart.
Vince, 36, headed to Las Vegas, where a source tells the magazine he "looked nervous" after allegedly plonking down an 11,000 dollar bet on an American football game scheduled for New Year’s Day.
Jen, meanwhile, joined close pals Sheryl Crow, Courteney Cox, David Arquette and their daughter, Coco, for a peaceful getaway at the luxurious Esperanza Resort in Cabo San Lucas, where the gang rang in 2007 with a lavish feast in an upscale local restaurant.
"Jen was having an amazing New Year’s," a restaurant source told the magazine.
"She seemed content with all her friends around her."
Liz’s ex chasing Jen? - Dec 29 2006
Billionaire Steve Bing, the Hollywood producer who fathered Liz Hurley’s son Damian, has apparently been trying his luck with two of Hollywood’s most glamorous newly-single ladies.
The 41-year-old playboy approached newly-single Jennifer Aniston and offered her his phone number as she dined with friends at West Hollywood’s Madeo restaurant, according to In Touch Weekly.
"They’ve known each other socially," an insider tells the magazine. "He saw an opportunity and made a move."
Though Jen, 37, apparently hasn’t taken Steve up on his offer yet, she might want to take a word of advice from fellow Hollywood singleton Pamela Anderson, who was rumoured to have been less than impressed with Steve after joining him for a dinner date.
An insider told US Weekly magazine that the mogul "kept telling her she was beautiful, but that doesn’t work with Pam," adding that the unimpressed ex-Baywatch babe was home by an un-rock’n’roll 9.30pm.

Recognised as a talented comedy actress, she began working on the Howard Stern Radio Show in the 80’s and 90’s, before moving to Hollywood and launching a career in television. There were several false starts as shows were cancelled, and her appearance in the horror movie ’Leprechaun’ attracted so much critical derision that she seriously considered giving up acting.
Cue Friends, for which she auditioned in 1994. The producers originally wanted her to audition for the role of Monica Geller, but she managed to persuade them that her talents would be far better used in the role of Rachel Green. She ended up playing the character for ten years, between 1994 and 2004. So successful was the show and so well loved was her character that during the final three seasons she commanded a fee of one million dollars per episode. The critics, once cruel, were now united in praise, and she was nominated five times for an Emmy award including Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
Since then she has been in several major Hollywood features, although she has not yet made a hit film.
Aniston’s acting talents rest upon an "everygirl" persona. This perhaps explains why the media has always taken an interest in her personal life. She previously dated Adam Duritz and actor Tate Donovan before beginning a long-term relationship with Brad Pitt. They were married in 2000. The pair divorced in spectacular fashion in 2005, with many in the press suspecting infidelity on Pitt’s part and Aniston’s refusal to have children as causes (She has since strongly denied that she doesn’t want children). She has remained tight lipped about her personal life ever since.
