Jesse back in Wisteria Lane? - Oct 22 2007
John, the hunky gardener, may be making a return to Desperate Housewives.
Played by Jesse Metcalfe, the gardener, who got viewers hot and steamy under their collars with his often-shirtless appearance, will be on US screens on Sunday October 28.
John will still have the hots for Gabrielle (Eva Longoria), but this time, he is in for a rude awakening, as his former lover doesn't have time for him. What goes around comes around, as a year ago, John was rejecting the older woman's offer to resume their affair because he didn't want to ruin his upcoming marriage.
According to TV Guide, the episode finds married Gaby sneaking off with her ex-husband, Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) for a tryst at a local hotel - the same one owned by John's father-in-law.
"John spots her there and begs her to get back together," says Jesse.
"He found out married life isn't what it's cracked up to be and he's very unhappy."
But he doesn't think that it will work out for the couple.
"John's got a lot of baggage and Gaby doesn't want to get into that - she has enough baggage of her own," Jesse added.
Jesse rocks! - July 24 2007
Desperate Housewives fans had better take note. Jesse Metcalfe, who plays the sexy gardener in the hit US drama, harbours ambitions to be a rock star.
"I think a lot of people will be surprised to learn that I actually have talent," the 28-year-old actor told People magazine after performing an acoustic gig in the sunny Bahamas at the weekend. "I love playing to an audience. It’s really gratifying."
Jesse sang to a celeb packed crowd including Jamie King and Chloe Sevigny. He also treated his audience to two original songs recorded for his upcoming album Darklight.
However, having recently completed a stint in rehab, the actor needed nothing more than a few swigs of energy drink Red Bull to calm his nerves. "I’m doing really well and taking care of myself," he said. "I have too much going on right now to mess it up."
Jesse begs forgiveness? - May 8 2007
Jesse Metcalfe has apparently begged his ex-girlfriend Nadine Coyle for forgiveness after they split up three weeks ago.
The Girls Aloud singer decided to call time on their relationship after he was spotted hand in hand with another girl.
Since then the couple have spoken only once after the Irish beauty demanded the Desperate Housewives actor move his stuff out of her rented LA pad.
It seems he then apologised for embarrassing her - and pleaded with her to take him back.
A source told Now magazine: "Jesse may have been seen out with another girl, but his heart belongs to Nadine. She convinced him to go into rehab to help their relationship. She still blames herself for not seeing that he had a problem in the first place.
"The fact that he listened to her, stopped partying and cleaned up his act proves exactly how he feels about Nadine - he did it for her.
"As soon as he came out of rehab he was on the phone to Nadine, but an argument got out of proportion and he told her he couldn’t commit. Being apart from Nadine is making him realise just how much she means to him and he desperately wants her back."

In the late 90s however Jesse turned to acting, moving to LA and successfully auditioning for the role of Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald in daytime soap Passions. In late 2003 he appeared in Smallville and shortly afterwards quit Passions and bagged a role as gardener John Rowland in new drama Desperate Housewives. The role would not only open new doors for Jesse’s career but make his one of the most lusted after torsos in television.
Although his role was cut back in the second series and he appeared only once in the third Jesse has maintained that he is still in contract with Housewives and hopes to play a larger role again. Meanwhile he has branched out in to movies with the lead role in teen comedy John Tucker Must Die, released in 2006.
In early 2006 Jesse met Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle and although rumours have done the rounds that they had split reports that they were married in 2007 continue.
