According to the author director Alfonso Cuaron who directed Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban has inadvertently foreshadowed events which are to happen in the last two books. Rowling said "I really got goosebumps when I saw a couple of those things, and I thought, people are going to look back and think those things were put in deliberately as clues." The author also said she was very pleased with the latest adaptation of her work, saying "(Cuaron) has done exactly what I hoped he would do."

Author rows with neighbours - April 04
J.K Rowling has upset neighbours with plans to install CCTV at her Edinburgh home.
Neighbours of the author have lodged objections to the plans to erect five CCTV cameras around the grounds of her house on the grounds that it will invade their privacy. Rowling decided to install the cameras following a run in with an American stalker but neighbours, William and Catherine Brotherstone, think that the cameras may record them ’by accident or by design’. I’m sure J.K and her husband have better things to do than spy on neighbours.
Harry potter makes it to adulthood - Jan 04
JK Rowlings fifth book on the wizard schoolboy has been shortlisted for the adult fiction prize at WHSmiths Book Awards.
This means Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix will be against such heavy weights as best-sellers by Ian Rankin, James Herbert and Colum McCann. JK has previously won the WHSmith Children’s Book of the Year award, but the books have never been considered for an adults award before, which is quite surprising considering the number of adult commuters that are always reading the book on the train home from work.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on March 16 in London.
JK’s dad sells prized book -12/12/03
JK Rowling gave a signed first edition of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire to her father, and he only went and flogged it for ?27,500!
JK had lovingly given the book to her father for Fathers Day 2000, that she had signed ’Lots of love from your first born’, with nine kisses. Well, he did keep the gift for three years, the book shelf was obviously getting a bit full.
JK’s dad Peter gave the book to Sotheby’s in New York to be auctioned, where it raised ?27,500. Sotheby’s wouldn’t comment on why he chose to auction off the gift, as well as six other rare books presented to him by his daughter. Well, Christmas is coming after all, extra cash is always handy an’ all that...

As a post-graduate, she moved to London to work at Amnesty International doing research into human rights abuses in Francophone Africa, she married and divorced and was left holding the baby. The tale of how Rowling scratched out her first book Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in an Edinburgh caf? while surviving on social security is well known.
When Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was bought and published by Bloomsbury in 1997 her life changed dramatically, the Harry Potter series has since then won numerous awards and become a tremendous success around the world. Warner Brothers have bought the rights to the first two books for a "substantial seven figure sum".
Now you can watch the books on the silver screen, starring Daniel Radcliffe as Harry, Emma Watson as Hermione Granger and featuring Robbie Coltrane, Zoe Wanamaker and John Cleese. Learn this, or face ridicule from adults and children alike.
