Kate buys Pete flying lessons? - Mar 13 2007
Kate Moss has apparently splashed out on flying lessons for Pete.
The Babyshambles frontman is 28 today and it seems he could be set to fulfil his childhood dream of becoming a pilot, thanks to this present.
"Kate thought it would be a brilliant idea to buy Pete the lessons at Elstree Aerodrome, Herts," a source told the Daily Star. "It is the same place that Angelina Jolie trained and it has a impressive reputation.
"Kate thought of the quirky gift after Pete admitted that when he was a lad, he dreamed of becoming a pilot. He finds planes fascinating and has always wanted to fly them himself.
"So he’ll have lessons, and if he enjoys it, it could well be something he will pursue.
"Kate has also got him a gorgeous chocolate cake for a local bakers near her Cotswolds home.
"Pete is happy with a low-key celebration and has told Kate that as long as she is with him today, he’s not bothered about partying."
Like mother like daughter? - Mar 11 2007
Is Kate Moss’s daughter following in her mother’s expensively shod footsteps already?
In a rare interview Kate has told how four-year-old Lila Grace has shown some unmistakable signs of becoming a discerning fashionista.
"She comes in at bedtime and says, ’Mummy, do you think this is a good look?’ and then she has a fashion crisis. I say, ’You will wear what I tell you’, but she says she’s the adult of the bedroom," the model told Vogue magazine.
"Now we lay the clothes out before she goes to bed but then she goes, ’Mum, I need options’."
And the style icon described how the little girl attracted the attentions of Donatella Versace at a recent advertising photoshoot.
"Lila and Donatella struck up a friendship. They put a weave in her hair and she had this long blonde hair down to her waist," she revealed, adding that her daughter finished the look by striking a vampy pose.
"I was like, Oh My God."
The interview, a rarity for the famously tight-lipped model, was to launch her new fashion line for Topshop.
If Lila does show any desire to follow mum into modelling, it’s likely that Kate will be able to give her an unromantic assessment of the industry.
When considering her own move into designing, she said: "I didn’t want to be a designer designer and have to do shows and all of it. I’ve seen that stress."
Kate gives Pete the keys - Mar 6 2007
Kate and Pete have taken their relationship to the next level by moving in together - but apparently some of the model’s friends are less than happy at the new development.
Pete moved into Kate’s North London pad last week after he was kicked out of his own flat in East London owing £10,000 in rent.
According to Grazia, the move was a typically chaotic exercise with the singer enlisting the help of the photographers camped outside Kate’s home, to help him carry his stuff.
"I think this whole rock-star thing with Pete just sucked her in," a close friend told the magazine. "She seems to be putting him before everything and has been looking so tired lately.

After a series of shoots for teenage magazines, it was Harper’s Bazaar that finally launched her into the international arena. In 1992, she became the Face of Calvin Klein. Moss originally spearheaded the controversial "waif" look which critics claimed encouraged anorexia in impressionable teenagers. The girl from Croydon, who once said she "might’ve been a bank manager" now divides her time between London and LA, where she is often seen at The Viper Rooms, the controversial club owned by her one-time actor boyfriend Johnny Depp.
She has appeared in several notable documentaries about the fashion world and in 1995, released a hard-back book of pictures entitled simply "Kate". Having checked into London’s £300-a-day Priory Clinic in November 1998 suffering from exhaustion, Kate emerged refreshed the following January to announce that she had spent the last decade modelling "drunk". She told The Face magazine, "That’s what you do. You always have champagne before the shows. Always. Even at ten in the morning. It got to the point one time when we were [saying], ’We’re not going out without any champagne’."
Losing the Calvin Klein contract to fellow Brit Lisa Ratliffe in 1999, Kate has now taken on the status of fashion icon. In the May 2000 issue of Vogue, she played muse to a variety of the most cutting edge artists and photographers. In London she is still represented by Storm. Written in 2000
