Keira Knightley - the face of Asprey’s jewellers - is in trouble for promoting a rival firm. The star, nominated for an Oscar for her role in ’Pride And Prejudice’, wore a Bulgari necklace to the star studded Hollywood event on Sunday (05.02.06), instead of one of their designs. see photos

An insider at the ceremony said: "They are absolutely b****y furious. "There have been reports of a looming financial crisis at Asprey, so it’s their second PR disaster this week." Although Asprey have refused to comment on the claims, it is not known how the blunder will affect her deal with the Royal jeweller.

Meanwhile, Keira was forced to change out of her stunning Vera Wang dress after the ceremony - because people kept standing on it. The stunning 20-year-old actress admitted she was ready to party after the event - despite not winning an award - but was sick of people clambering all over her gown. She revealed: "I was wearing a fabulous dress - it was beautiful but it had this long tail and people kept treading on it. "I heard it’s a real crush in the party so I thought I’d change into something that people wouldn’t stand on."

According to the New York Post, the handsome actor split with long-term girlfriend Kirsten Dunst last year, while Keira has been single since splitting with model boyfriend Jamie Dornan.

The two young stars - both nominated for Oscars this year - were seen getting cosy together in the days running up to last night’s (05.03.06) Academy Awards ceremony. A source said: "They were at Soho House two nights in a row together and definitely looked like a couple." However, the 20-year-old has also been spotted kissing her ’Pride and Prejudice’ co-star, Rupert Friend, 21. The pair were snapped last week getting playful in the sea in the Bahamas.

He told ABC’s ’Good Morning America’ TV show: "She did want to do it, and then when she was on the set I think she felt uncomfortable, and I didn’t want to make anybody feel uncomfortable."
