Liam and Nicole ’to get hitched’ - Oct 22 2007
Liam Gallagher is to marry his long-term girlfriend Nicole Appleton, it has been reported.
All Saints singer Nicole told the Daily Mirror she would be marrying the Oasis star, her partner of eight years, in a small-scale ceremony.
She told the newspaper: "It’s important to me and I love the idea of being married.
"When I see him strutting on to the stage I don’t recognise him. He’s like a lion tamer and with a crack of the whip he controls the fans.
"He can’t do that to me. At home, I’m the lion tamer. Definitely."
The couple have a six-year-old son, Gene. Liam also has two other children from previous relationships, including a son with his former wife, the actress and singer Patsy Kensit.
Wedding guests will include Liam’s brother and bandmate Noel and Nicole’s sister Natalie, with her husband Liam Howlett of the Prodigy.
Nicole also revealed the Gallagher brothers were getting on better after years of bickering.
Liam: I sounded like Tweetie Pie - Sept 28 2007
Liam Gallagher may be part of one of the most successful bands of all time - but it seems that he hates the sound of his voice in Oasis’s earlier work.
He reportedly told The Sun: "I hate my voice on all them records. I sound like f****** Tweetie Bird.
"I mean, they were good at the time, it’s the best I could do, but I prefer it the way it is now.
"When I hear Slide Away, I think, ’That’s a vocal’. Supersonic, that’s all right. But certain songs, Live Forever, some of the high bits I just think, ’Aw, f*** that’. I was young. I hate that vocal on Whatever."
The rocker has mellowed out in recent years and dotes on his sons Lennon and Gene.
Talking about Gene, he gushed: "His hair is like, golden blond. My kid’s got the best haircut in the world, man. I do it every day. The comb is your friend! I think I’m a top dad. Haven’t got a nanny, none of that."
Liam ’buying Thunderbird house’ - Nov 24 2006
Rock star Liam Gallagher is today rumoured to be buying a £4 million house inspired by the TV puppet show Thunderbirds and its Tracy Island base.
The Oasis frontman is thought to be nearing completion on the blue glass and blue-fronted six-bedroom house, called Thunderbird, in the exclusive Branksome Park area of Poole, Dorset.
The futuristic two-storey property was built by life-long Thunderbirds fan Eddie Mitchell to resemble the Tracy Island home of the International Rescue agents.
Mr Mitchell, managing director of Seven Developments, refused to confirm the sale today.
He said: "We have had several people - a Lord, a racing driver, a footballer - look at it.
"In all instances they would require confidentiality. I’m not at liberty to say any more than that."
Contracts have not yet been exchanged but Mr Mitchell said it was as good as sold.
Everything in the hi-tech house, from the heating, lighting and even down to the curtains, is operated by the touch of a button on an electronic keypad, in keeping with the space-age show.
The house is also designed to resemble a bird with two wings.
The stairwell has more than 1,000 fibre-optic lights which change colour, there is a kaleidoscope glass floor with changing coloured lights, six bathrooms, a 100ft lounge and a 50ft heated infinity pool.

This is probably because his older brother Noel was quite talented at playing the guitar and because they shared a bedroom, they often fought with each other. Liam quit school around the age of 14 and became a fence-painter. He was making about £100 a week while his former classmates stayed in school. Around the time when Liam was 19, he hooked up with an old school buddy named Paul McGuigan.
He found that Paul had a band that needed a vocalist, so he offered his services. When he joined, he changed the band’s name from "The Rain" (which was the name of a Beatles song) to "Oasis"; a name which he apparently saw on a poster in his bedroom. Liam also became the band’s song writer, along with Paul Arthurs (who was the also band’s guitarist). They only really rehearsed one day a week and didn’t get too many gigs. It was after one of their rare gigs, that Liam’s older brother Noel saw them perform. He said that their band was "utter shite" and said that he would join if he took over control of the band and wrote all of their songs. The band agreed and, well, the rest is history.
