"I’m not someone who wants to live on a diet. You see Girls Aloud in their skimpy outfits, so you start to assume that that’s the correct way of looking and it isn’t."
She also claims she’s over the episode in which Cheryl Cole apparently called her "a chick with a d***". "I’m over it," she explained. "I had 2,000 people email me to tell me that I should be perfectly happy the way I am.

With early dreams of pop stardom Lily was signed to Warner Bros in 2002 thanks, in no small part, to her father. However the partnership was short lived and in 2005 she signed to the lesser known Regal. Despite reported pressure to release pop songs she instead decided to release her tracks for free download on MySpace.com. It was through the website that she found fame, becoming a true internet star before even releasing a single. The buzz created though resulted in a rush release of LDN on limited edition 7" in early 2005.
In 2006 Lily released her debut album Alright, Still to critical and public acclaim, reaching number 2 in the UK charts. She also released Smile, the track which finally launched her in to the public’s conciousness. This was followed by a full re-release of LDN.
