It had reported that the couple had planned to tie the knot at a Gloucestershire hotel, despite conflicting reports of a traditional ceremony in India. The 41-year-old actress had reportedly visited the Barnsley House Hotel to arrange a mid-September wedding. Liz - who has a four-year-old son, Damian, from her relationship with movie producer Steve Bing - has previously hinted Sir Elton John’s partner David Furnish would be the best man.

Liz Hurley’s romance with business tycoon Arun Nayer is reportedly on the rocks - because she is refusing to move to India. The pair are said to have had a string of rows because the star won’ t move to Nayer’s plush mansion in Mumbai.

A source told the News of the World newspaper: "Arun is spending a lot of time in India and suggested they move over there but Liz doesn’t want to. "They love each other but just can’t agree on this, which is causing the rift." A friend added: "They’re going through an incredibly rocky patch. Neither of them is backing down. Liz is insisting that she wants Arun to live with her in London, but he wants to move back to India as he has business there."

The actress - who started romancing Nayer in 2003 - is determined to raise her four-year-old son Damian in the UK. The pal said: "She wants Damian to experience an English education." The source added: "It’s causing a lot of grief. They’ve argued about it before but the past few weeks have been pretty bad."

Elizabeth Hurley is to marry her lover Arun Nayar in India. The 40-year-old actress - who is planning to live part-time in the country after the ceremony - has publicly spoken for the first time about her wedding plans.

Hurley was quoted in the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: "When we do get married, I am sure India would become my second home." The ’Austin Powers’ star, who has been dating the 41-year-old Indian businessman for four years, is currently in Mumbai spending time with Arun’s family. Hurley met her businessman fiance two years after splitting from her Hollywood boyfriend of nine years, Hugh Grant.

The brunette, who has a four-year-old son Damian with movie producer Steve Bing, recently said she regrets not having children with the ’Love Actually’ star and wished her son had some siblings to play with. She said: "There’s no doubt in my mind that Damian would have been much better off if he’d had a couple of brothers and sisters by now."

The beautiful brunette - who is engaged to Indian business tycoon Arun Nayar - arrived at a fashion show wearing a figure-hugging dress that revealed her swelling stomach. Hurley, 40, has refused to comment confirm pregnancy rumours, but friends expect a formal announcement within weeks. One onlooker at the Milan event is quoted in the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: "She’s famous for being fantastically trim but her bulge was unmistakable. It got tongues wagging."

Biography

Born on June 10 1965, in Hampshire, England, Elizabeth Hurley is the daughter of an army officer and an elementary schoolteacher mother.

At 21, Hurley got her first film role in the 1987 film Aria after having attended the London Studio Centre on scholarship. Hurley’s role in the film Remando al Viento that same year could be considered a crucial one, as it also starred her future boyfriend Hugh Grant.

However, despite acting and modelling jobs it was a certain safety pinned Versace frock that made Liz on of Britain’s most famous faces. She wore what would soon simply be called ’that dress’ to the premiere of Hugh’s breakthrough film Four Weddings and a Funeral. More attention followed when Estee Lauder signed Hurley to be the face of their cosmetics.

Although together for several years, even sticking together through the embarrassing Divine Brown incident, Hugh and Liz split in 2001 although they remain friends to this day. Liz had a brief fling with billionaire Steve Bing, during which she became pregnant with her son Damien. A very public battle occured during her pregnancy with Bing claiming that the child was not his. Liz found vindication when the child was born - not only was he the spit of Bing but a dna test proved without doubt what we could all see.

Liz is now engaged to Indian businessman Arun Nayer and their impending nuptuals have been the source of much speculation with several dates touted and even Hugh Grant has been suggested as Arun’s best man.

Meanwhile Liz’s career has taken a forward leap.
